Պուտինը և Փաշինյանը այդպես էլ առանձին հանդիպում չունեցան: Բայց հետևելով Սանկտ-Պետերբուրգից ստացվող տեղեկությանը՝ կարելի է ենթադրել, որ Պուտինը, Փաշինյանը և Ալիևը հասցրել են շփվել, քանզի Փաշինյանն ու Ալիևը միասին են լքել հյուրընկալողի տարածքը: Եվ հասկանալի է, որ քննարկվել են հայ-ադրբեջանական խաղաղության օրակարգի հետ կապված հարցեր։ 

Ամիսներ տևած բոյկոտից հետո Փաշինյանը մեկնեց ՌԴ, բայց ինչո՞ւ այդպես էլ առանձին հանդիպում տեղի չունեցավ Պուտինի հետ. այս և այլ հարցերի շուրջ MediaHub-ը զրուցեց քաղաքագետ Բենիամին Մաթևոսյանի հետ։

«Այնպես չէ, որ բոլորն են առանձին հանդիպում ունեցել Պուտինի հետ։ Ոչ մի յուրահատուկ բան այս հարցի վերաբերյալ չկա։ Միգուցե ռուսական կողմի հիմնական նպատակը եղել է ոչ թե առանձին Ադրբեջանի կամ Հայաստանի ղեկավարների հետ հանդիպումը, այլ «փաթեթային» հարցը լուծելը։ Շատ դեպքերում մենք կա՛մ թերագնահատում ենք, կա՛մ գերագնահատում ենք մեր դերը։ Ռուսաստանին պետք է ոչ թե Հայաստանը մեր տարածաշրջանում, այլ տարածաշրջանը ամբողջությամբ»,- ասաց Մաթևոսյանը։

Ըստ Մաթևոսյանի՝ ՀՀ իշխանությունը նվեր է արել Ադրբեջանին, այն է՝ Ալեն Սիմոնյանի հնչեցրած հայտարարությունը, թե խաղաղության պայմանագիրը կարող ենք ստորագրել առանց սահմանազատման, ինչը «դռներ կբացի Ալիևի ռեժիմի առաջ» Հայաստանի Հանրապետության դեմ նոր ռազմական ագրեսիա սանձազերծելու համար։

«Սա Փաշինյանի նվերն էր Ադրբեջանի ժողովրդին, Ալեն Սիմոնյանը հայտարարեց, որ հերթական ադրբեջանական նախապայմանը պաշտոնական Երևանը պատրաստ է կյանքի կոչել՝ առանց դեմարկացիայի «խաղաղության պայմանագրի» ստորագրում: Ավելին, այդ պայմանագիր ասվածի մեջ հնարավոր է Հայաստանի տարածքային ամբողջականության թիվը չնշվի, որը նշանակում է, որ նմանատիպ ձևակերպումներով «հագեցած» պայմանագիր ստորագրելու պարագայում Փաշինյանը կանաչ լույս է վառում Ադրբեջանի առջև, որ շարունակեն իրենց ագրեսիվ գործողությունները Հայաստանի դեմ»,- ասաց նա։
