Հայաստանին ու Ադրբեջանին մեկ քայլ է բաժանում խաղաղության համաձայնագրի ստորագրումից։ Այս մասին Свободная Пресса-ի հետ զրույցում ասել է Պետդումայի ԱՊՀ հարցերով հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Լեոնիդ Կալաշնիկովը:
«Այն իրադարձությունները, որոնք տեղի ունեցան և ի վերջո հանգեցրին ստեղծված իրավիճակին, դրանք ճիշտ զարգացան։ Միայն երեք տարածաշրջանային հարևաններ պետք է բանակցեին՝ Ադրբեջանը, Հայաստանը և Ռուսաստանը։ Ես միշտ խոսել եմ այս մասին: Ես երբեք իսկապես չեմ հավատացել Ղարաբաղի հարցով Մինսկի խմբին, որտեղ համանախագահներն էին, բացի մեզանից, ԱՄՆ-ն ու Ֆրանսիան։ Նրանք մատը մատին չեն տվել»,- ասել է պատգամավորը։
Կալաշնիկովն ընդգծել է, որ ի վերջո ամեն ինչ եկել է եռակողմ համաձայնության, թեև դրան կարելի էր հասնել առանց ռազմական գործողությունների։
Պատգամավորը վստահ է, որ Հայաստանին ձեռնտու է «բացվել» հենց հիմա, երբ երկիրը զիջել է Ղարաբաղը, և «հիմա սեղանին բռունցքով խփելն իմաստ չունի»։
«Մենք պետք է առավելագույն օգուտ քաղենք դրանից: Սա վերաբերում է նաև Ադրբեջանի և Թուրքիայի հետ բարիդրացիությանը, նրանք (Հայաստանը-Խմբ.) այլ սահմաններ չունեն։ Ո՞ւր պետք է փախչեն։ Ժողովուրդը շատ տաղանդավոր է: Խաղաղության պայմանագիրը, իհարկե, լավ բան է... Թող իրենք որոշեն։ Բայց արժե մտածել և ստեղծել այնպիսի միջանցքներ, որոնք տնտեսապես շահավետ են, այդ թվում՝ հարևանների համար: Իսկ դա ձեռնտու է Ռուսաստանին, քանի որ մենք կարող ենք նրանց միջոցով միջանցք բացել դեպի հարավ, համաձայնության գալ Վրաստանի հետ։ Ի վերջո, իմ կարծիքով՝ իրավիճակը բավականին բարենպաստ է»,- եզրափակել է Կալաշնիկովը։
