Հայ վիքիպեդիստները Երևանում նշում են օնլայն հանրագիտարանի հիմնադրման 15 ամյակը

Ամերիկացի Ջիմմի Ուելսը և Լարի Սանգերը 2001 թվականի հունվարի 15-ին հիմնադրեցին Վիքիպեդիա հանրագիտարանային նախագիծը, որն այսօր աշխարհում ունի ավելի քան 37 միլիոն հոդված տարբեր լեզուներով: Վիքի համայնքի անդամ է նաև Հայաստանը, Հայերեն Վիքիպեդիայում արդեն կա շուրջ 193 հազար 300 հոդված: 2013 թվականի մայիսի 14-ին Հայաստանում հիմնադրվել է «Վքիմեդիա Հայաստան» հանրագիտարանային գիտելիքների տարածմանը աջակցող գիտակրթական հասարակական կազմակերպությունը։ Այն Վիքիմեդիա Հիմնադրամի կողմից ճանաչված միակ կազմակերպությունն է տարածաշրջանում: «Վիքիմեդիա Հայաստան» գիտակրթական ՀԿ նախագահ Սուսաննա Մկրտչյանն է: Նա Վիքիպեդիայի ծննդյան 15 ամյակին նվիրված վիքիպեդյան էջում պատմել է իր պատմությունն ու կոչ արել միանալ վիքի համայնքին: «Դուք ծնող ես, տատիկ, ապա միացեք ինձ ու բարելավեք Վիքիպեդիան: Մի օր ձեր երեխաները ձեզ կհասկանան»,-գրել է Սուսաննա Մկրտչյանը` հավելելով, որ իր 12-ամ յա թոռիկներն իրեն կոչում են Վիքի տատիկ ու արդեն խմբագրում Վիքիպեդիայում:
«Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ` ինչպես աշխարհի տարբեր երկրների վիքիհամայնքները, այնպես էլ հայ վիքիպեդիստներն ամեն տարի այս օրը հավաքվում են ու նշում են իրենց համատեղ գործունեության տոնը: «Վիքիմեդիա Հայաստան»-ը Վիքիպեդիայի ծննդյան օրը նշելուն զուգահեռ, անցկացրեց «Վիքին սիրում է հուշարձաններ 2015» մրցույթի և հայ-վրացական համագործակցության հաղթողների մրցանակաբաշխությունը:
«Վիքիմեդիա Հայաստան»-ի 2016 թվականի ծրագրերը բազմազան են, դրանցից ամենախոշորը Կենտրոնական և Արևելյան Եվրոպայի երկրների համաժողովի անցկացում է Հայաստանում, նախատեսվում է 3 վիքիճամբար Հայաստանում, նաև Ֆրանսիայում, և արդեն ավարտված ձմեռային վիքիճամբարն Աղվերանում։
Վիքիպեդիան ազատ բովանդակությամբ, բազմալեզու հանրագիտարանային նախագիծ է, որին հովանավորում է շահույթչհետապնդող Վիքիմեդիա Հիմնադրամը։ Անունը կազմված է «վիքի» (համագործակցական կայքեր ստեղծելու տեխնոլոգիա,հավայան «վիքի» բառից, որը նշանակում է «արագ») և հունարեն «էնցիկլոպեդիա» բառերից։ Վիքիպեդիայի ավելի քան 37 միլիոնհոդվածներն ստեղծվել են ինքնակամ մասնակիցների կողմից, և համարյա բոլոր հոդվածները կարող են խմբագրվել համացանցիցօգտվող ցանկացած անձի կողմից։
