Չեխիայի կառավարությունը որոշել է դեկտեմբերի 23-ը պետական սգո օր հայտարարել՝ ի հիշատակ Պրահայի Չարլզի համալսարանի փիլիսոփայության ֆակուլտետում հինգշաբթի օրը տեղի ունեցած հրաձգության զոհերի։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է հանրապետության վարչապետ Պետր Ֆիալան՝ նախարարների կաբինետի արտակարգ նիստի ավարտին մամուլի ասուլիսի ժամանակ։
«Կառավարությունն ընդունել է որոշում, որում ցավակցություն է հայտնում զոհվածների ընտանիքներին և ընկերներին։ Դեկտեմբերի 23-ը պետական սգո օր է լինելու՝ ի հիշատակ ողբերգության զոհերի։ Ժամը 12:00-ին բոլոր քաղաքացիներին խնդրում եմ մեկ րոպե լռությամբ հարգել զոհերի հիշատակը»,- ասել է Ֆիալան։
Չեխիայի Հանրապետության առաջին փոխվարչապետ և ներքին գործերի նախարար Վիտ Ռակուշանն ընդգծել է, որ Պրահայում տեղի ունեցած հրաձգությունը «ոչ մի կապ չունի միջազգային ահաբեկչության հետ»։
Հանրապետության նախագահ Պետր Պավելը, ով չեղյալ է հայտարարել կառավարության արտահերթ նիստին մասնակցելու իր աշխատանքային ծրագիրը, ասել է, որ համալսարանում տեղի ունեցած կրակոցը «Չեխիայի պատմության մեջ ամենաողբերգական նման դեպքն է»։ Այս իրադարձությունները, ինչպես ընդգծել է պետության ղեկավարը, չպետք է դառնան քաղաքական նպատակներով չարաշահումների գործիք, բերեն ոստիկանության նվաստացմանն ու ապատեղեկատվության տարածմանը։ «Սա կոչ է լրատվամիջոցներին, քաղաքացիներին, նրանց, ովքեր մուտք ունեն սոցիալական ցանցեր», - ասել է Պրահայի ամրոցի սեփականատերը:
Կրակոցները բացել է 24-ամյա ուսանող Դեյվիդ Կոզակը, ով մի քանի ժամ առաջ սպանել էր հորը։ Այնուհետև նա ինքնասպան է եղել։ Հրաձգության հետեւանքով զոհվել է 14 մարդ, վիրավորվել՝ 25-ը, որից 10-ի վիճակը ծանր է։
