Ռուսաստանն արմատապես փոխում է իր քաղաքականությունը Հայաստանում՝ հաշվի առնելով հակառուսական տրամադրությունների կտրուկ աճը, փորձում է ավելի մեղմ քաղաքականություն վարել և փոխել հայ հանրության վերաբերմունքը Մոսկվայի և նրա քաղաքականության վերաբերյալ։
Տասնամյակներ շարունակ Արևմուտքի և Ռուսաստանի քաղաքականությունները Հայաստանում լրջորեն իրարից տարբերվել են։ Ռուսաստանը տեղում ներկայություն ունենալով՝ շատ դեպքերում առանձնապես չի զբաղվել Ռուսաստանի դրական իմիջի բարձրացման գործողություններով, հաճախ էլ չի պատասխանել ապատեղեկատվություններին։ Փոխարենը, Միացյալ Նահանգները Հայստանում հարյուրավոր և հազարավոր կազմակերպությունների, ազդեցության գործակալների, մամուլի միջոցով կարողացել է չափազանց դրական տրամադրություն ստեղծել Հայաստանում Արևմուտքի վարած քաղաքականության վերաբերյալ։
Շատ դեպքերում, իհարկե, տպավորությունները թյուր են եղել։ Իրականում թե՛ Ռուսաստանը և թե՛ Արևմուտքը սեփական շահերն են տանում Հայաստանում և առանձնապես չի հուզում նրանց հայ հասարակության կարծիքը, բայց 44-օրյա պատերազմից հետո թե՛ Արևմուտքը խնդիր ունի Հայաստանին վերջնականապես մղել իր ազդեցության դաշտ, թե՛ Ռուսաստանն է գիտակցում, որ կարող է վերջնականապես կորցնել Հայաստանի և հայության հարյուրամյա դրական վերաբերմունքը, ինչը հետագայում վերականգնելը չափազանց բարդ է լինելու։ Հատկապես, հիմա, երբ Հայաստանի գծով պատասխանատուները Կրեմլում փոխվել են, իսկ նախկին պատասխանատուներից Սերգեյ Լավրովին ընդհանրապես արգելել են զբաղվել Հայաստանով՝ իր տարատեսակ ներկայացուցիչների միջոցով, Ռուսաստանը փորձում է նոր մշակութային և տեղեկատվական էքսպանսիա իրականացնել՝ օգտագործելով փափուկ ուժի բոլոր դրսևորումները։
Մեր աղբյուրների փոխանցմամբ՝ տասնյակ լրագրողներ, հանրային գործիչներ և մտավորականներ վերջին մեկ-երկու ամսվա ընթացքում եղել են Մոսկվայում, հանդիպել ռուսական կողմի տարբեր ներկայացուցիչների հետ, քննարկել Ռուսաստանի դերը Հայաստանում բարձրացնելու հնարավորությունը։ Ռուսաստանը գիտակցում է, որ կոշտ ուժով Հայաստանում կարող է լուրջ խնդիրների հանդիպել, ուստի և փոխում է քաղաքականության ամբողջ տրամաբանությունը։
