Госдеп: США приветствуют роль Турции в нормализации отношений между Ереваном и Баку

США приветствуют продуктивную роль Турции в урегулировании конфликта между Арменией и Азербайджаном. Об этом руководитель пресс-службы Госдепа США Мэттью Миллер заявил на брифинге, комментируя заявления главы МИД Турции Хакана Фидана.
По словам Миллера, Вашингтон, как и Анкара, поддерживает прямые переговоры между Ереваном и Баку для установления мира.
Что касается недавних переговоров госсекретаря США Энтони Блинкена и главы МИД Турции Хакана Фидана, то эта тема, по словам американского дипломата, обсуждалась.
По словам Миллера, данный вопрос регулярно рассматривается главами внешнеполитических ведомств. Вместе с тем, он не раскрыл деталей дискуссии.
14 декабря на пресс-конференции в Баку министр иностранных дел Турции Хакан Фидан заявил, что Анкара поддерживает усилия по нормализации отношений между Арменией и Азербайджаном. По его словам, если отношения между Ереваном и Баку нормализуются, то и Турция урегулирует отношения с Арменией.
