Հայաստանի իշխանություննները պարբերաբար երկնիշ տնտեսական աճի մասին են հայտարարում։ 2022 թվականին Ազգային վիճակագրական ծառայության տվյալներով տնտեսական աճը կազմել է 12,6 %։ 2023 թվականին ակնկալվում է ավելի քան 7 % տնտեսական աճ։ Այս ակնկալիքներն առիթ են դարձել որպեսզի վարչապետի պաշտոնը զբաղեցնող անձը, էկոնոմիկայի նախարարը և գործող վարչախմբի տարբեր ներկայացուցիչներ ուրախության ճիչեր արձակեն, հայտարարեն, թե իրենց իշխանության օրոք երկրի կենսամակարդակն աճում է։

Միակ բանը, որ փաշինյանական վարչախմբի օրոք աճել է պետական պարտքն է՝ 2015 թվականի համեմատ, գրեթե կրկնապատկվելով։ Մինչդեռ Հայստանում վերջին 5 տարիներին գրեթե չի նվազել աղքատների թիվը։ 2019-ին աղքատության ցուցանիշը 26,4 % էր, 2022-ին՝ 24,8 %։ Չի նվազել նաև գործազրկության մակարդակը։ 2018 թվականին գործազրկության մակարդակը 16 % էր, այս տարվա երկրորդ եռամսյակում 11,7 %։ Իհարկե, նույնիսկ զրոյական նվազումն այս ցուցանիշների գործող իշխանությունները փորձելու են ներկայացնել իրենց օգտին, բայց տրված խոստումների, ահռելի ծախսերի պարագայում նման իրավիճակը գրեթե կարելի է ասել զրոյական է, որևէ քայլ չի կատարվել, ավելին 2024 թվականի պետական բյուջեով էլ որևէ հարց չի լուծվում։

Ընդդիմադիրներն ու անկախ տնտեսագետները նշում են, որ Հայաստանի տնտեսությունը գտնվում է չափազանց ծանր վիճակում և տնտեսական աղետից հնարավոր է եղել խուսափել միայն Ռուսաստանից Հայաստան տեղափոխված հազարավոր անձանց և դրամական փոխանցումների շնորհիվ, ինչպես նաև վերջին 1,5 տարվա ընթացքում զգալի աճած իմպորտի շնորհիվ, որի պարագայում Հայաստանը կարողացել է մի քանի անգամ ավելի շատ տարբեր ապրանքներ ներկրել Արմուտքից և դրանք վերաարտահանել Ռուսաստան։

Վերին Լարսում տեղի ունեցած դեպքերից հետո Հայստանում իրավիճակը կարող է չափազանց լարվել, իսկ 2024 թվականին, ըստ տարբեր մասնագետների, տնտեսական ակտիվությունը ոչ միայն կնվազի, այլև կարող է ընդհուպ լուրջ ռեցեսիայի հիմքեր դրվեն։
