Զելենսկին վերջին պահին հրաժարվել է ԱՄՆ օրենսդիրների հետ հանդիպումից, մինչ Կոնգրեսում քննարկում են Ուկրաինային օգնության հարցը

Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկին վերջին պահին չեղարկել է ԱՄՆ կոնգրեսի անդամների հետ հանդիպումը, որը պետք է տեղի ունենար դեկտեմբերի 5-ին առցանց ձևաչափով։
Զելենսկիի և օրենսդիրների միջև նախատեսված հանդիպումից առաջ Ուկրաինայի նախագահի աշխատակազմի ղեկավար Անդրեյ Երմակը հայտարարել էր, որ կա Ռուսաստանի դեմ ռազմական գործողություններում Ուկրաինայի պարտության «մեծ վտանգ», եթե ԱՄՆ-ն չշարունակի Կիևին տրամադրվող աջակցությունը։
Սենատի ղեկավար Չաք Շումերը չի բացատրել Վլադիմիր Զելենսկիի բացակայության պատճառը՝ նշելով, որ Ուկրաինայի նախագահի մոտ «վերջին պահին» գործեր են առաջացել։
Սպիտակ տունը հորդորել է Կոնգրեսին հաստատել Ուկրաինային61 մլրդ դոլարի լրացուցիչ ֆինանսականաջակցությունը, սակայն օրենսդիրները դեռ համաձայնության չեն հասել ծախսերի փաթեթի շուրջ, որը կօգնի ֆինանսավորել Ուկրաինայում ընթացող ռազմական գործողությունները։
Պարբերականը նշում է, որ Ուկրաինայի հակահարձակումը, կարծես, դանդաղել է, առաջնագծում մարտերը փակուղի են մտել։
2022 թ. փետրվարին Ուկրաինայում Ռուսաստանի ծավալած ռազմական գործողությունների ընթացքում ԱՄՆ կոնգրեսը հաստատել է ավելի քան 110 միլիարդ դոլարի ռազմական և տնտեսական օգնության տրամադրումն Ուկրաինային։ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենի վարչակազմը հայտնել է, որ այդ գումարի մեծ մասն արդեն հատկացվել է Կիևին։
