ԵՄ արտաքին հարաբերությունների և անվտանգության հարցերով բարձր ներկայացուցիչ Ժոզեպ Բորելը ելույթ է ունեցել ԵՄ-ՀԿ-ներ Մարդու իրավունքների 25-րդ ֆորումում, որի ժամանակ անդրադարձել է նաև Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հայ բնակչության բռնի տեղահանմանը, փոխանցում է «1lurer.am»-ը:
«Աշխարհում այնքան շատ են հակամարտությունները: Ժամանակի դժվարությունները, որոնցում մենք ապրում ենք, պետք է միայն խրախուսեն մեզ շարունակել պաշտպանել մարդու իրավունքներն ամբողջ աշխարհում:
Որովհետև այն, ինչ մենք տեսնում ենք, դաժան ուժային քաղաքականության վերադարձն է։ Ավելի ու ավելի շատ հակամարտություններ են լուծվում ուժի կիրառմամբ: Մի բան, որը պետք է արգելվեր։
Հակամարտությունները լուծելու համար չպետք է ուժ կիրառել, մինչդեռ ես տեսնում եմ, որ ավելի ու ավելի շատ հարցեր լուծվում են հենց ուժի միջոցով:
Օրինակ՝ տեսեք, թե ինչ տեղի ունեցավ Ադրբեջանում և Հայաստանում։ Վաղուց սառեցված հակամարտություն, որը հանկարծակի, ես չէի ասի, որ լուծվեց, բայց վճռականորեն որոշվեց ռազմական միջամտությամբ, և որը 150 000 մարդու ստիպեց մեկ շաբաթվա ընթացքում տեղափոխվել:
Մեկ շաբաթում 150 հազար մարդ ստիպված եղավ լքել իր տունը և փախչել։ Միջազգային հանրությունը զղջաց, մտահոգություն հայտնեց, հումանիտար աջակցություն ուղարկեց, բայց ուժ կիրառվեց, և բռնությունը շարունակում է աճել ամբողջ աշխարհում»,- ասել է Ժոզեպ Բորելը։
