Միացյալ Նահանգները մշտապես ասել է, որ կցանկանար տեսնել Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի հարաբերությունների կարգավորումը. այս մասին ճեպազրույցում հայտարարել է Եվրոպայում անվտանգության և համագործակցության կազմակերպությունում (ԵԱՀԿ) ԱՄՆ մշտական ներկայացուցիչ Մայքլ Քարփենթերը:

«Անցած տարվա ընթացքում մենք աջակցել ենք Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև մի շարք բանակցությունների։ Պետքարտուղար Բլինկենն անձամբ մասնակցել է այս ջանքերին՝ փորձելով հասնել խաղաղության համաձայնագրի, որը ճանապարհ կհարթի ամբողջ տարածաշրջանում հարաբերությունների կարգավորման, հաղորդակցությունների բացման և առևտրի համար, ինչը, կարծում ենք, բխում է Հարավային Կովկասի բոլոր երկրների շահերից», - նշել է Քարփենթերը:
 
ԵԱՀԿ-ում  ԱՄՆ դեսպանը հավելել է, որ Վաշինգտոնը կշարունակի իր աջակցությունը Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև հանդիպումներին։ 

«ԱՄՆ-ն կշարունակի իր բարի ծառայություններն առաջարկել Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև հանդիպումների անցկացման համար: Ի վերջո, իհարկե, կողմերն իրենք պետք է օգտվեն ադ բարի ծառայություններից կամ միջնորդության առաջարկներից՝ աջակցելու ջանքերին՝ հասնելու կարգավորման համաձայնագրի», - նշել է Քարփենթերը:

Դեսպանը նաև անդրադարձել է օկուպացված Արցախ հայերի անվտանգ վերադարձի հավանականությանը՝ նշելով.«Իսկ ինչ վերաբերում է փախստականների անվտանգ և արժանապատիվ վերադարձի և կայուն վերաինտեգրման միջազգային սկզբունքին, իհարկե, մենք դրան էլ ենք աջակցում»:
