ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Էնթոնի Բլինկենը հեռախոսազրույցներ է ունեցել Հայաստանի վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի և Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևի հետ, որոնց ընթացքում քննարկել է երկու երկրների միջև խաղաղության պայմանագրի կնքման հնարավորությունը։ Այս մասինտեղեկանում ենք ԱՄՆ պետդեպի մամուլի խոսնակ Մեթյու Միլլերի տարածած հայտարարություններից։
Համաձայն հայտարարություններից մեկի՝ Բլինկենը «շնորհակալություն է հայտնել նախագահ Ալիևին Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի միջև ամուր և ներկայացուցչական խաղաղության համաձայնագիր կնքելու պատրաստակամության համար»: ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարը նշել է, որ «երկարատև հակամարտությունը տառապանք է պատճառել և՛ Ադրբեջանին, և՛ Հայաստանին», ինչպես նաև ընդգծել է, որ խաղաղության համաձայնագիրը «ձեռնտու է տարածաշրջանում բոլորին»։
Բացի այդ, ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարն Ալիևի հետ քննարկել է Միացյալ Նահանգների և Ադրբեջանի երկկողմ հարաբերությունները, «նշել է անհանգստության վերջին պատճառները», ինչպես նաև անդրադարձել է «համագործակցության ամրապնդման հնարավորություններին»։
Մեկ այլ հայտարարության մեջ ԱՄՆ պետդեպի խոսնակը նշել է, որ Բլինկենը Փաշինյանի հետ զրույցում քննարկել է «ԱՄՆ աջակցությունը Հայաստանի ու Ադրբեջանի միջև ամուր և արժանապատիվ խաղաղության համաձայնագրի հասնելու ջանքերին»։
Միևնույն ժամանակ, «ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարը վերահաստատել է ԱՄՆ շարունակական աջակցությունը Հայաստանի ինքնորոշմանն ու տարածքային ամբողջականությանը և ընդգծել ՀՀ հետ երկկողմ համագործակցության ընդլայնմանն ուղղված ջանքերը», քանի որ Միացյալ Նահանգներն աշխատում է աջակցել բարգավաճող և ժողովրդավար ապագա կառուցելու ՀՀ-ի տեսլականին:
