Արևային ֆերմաներ տիեզերքում. ուտոպիայից իրականություն առանց թանկարժեք տեխնոլոգիաների

Securitylab.ru-ն գրում է, որ Սուրեյի համալսարանի և Մեծ Բրիտանիայի Սուոնսիի համալսարանի գիտնականները կարծում են, որ տիեզերքում արևային ֆերմաները իրականություն կդառնան առանց նոր և թանկարժեք տեխնոլոգիաների անհրաժեշտության:
2016 թվականի սեպտեմբերին անցկացված եզակի փորձի ժամանակ հետազոտողների թիմը կադմիումի տելուրիդի (CdTe) արևային բջիջների չորս փորձնական վահանակ են ուղարկել տիեզերք CubeSat արբանյակի վրա։ Համաձայն վերջերս հրապարակված հոդվածի, թեստային բջիջները բարձր դիմադրություն են ցույց տվել արեգակնային իոնացնող ճառագայթմանը և շարունակում են գործել նույնիսկ վեց տարի անց, թեև նախնական ակնկալիքներն ընդամենը մեկ տարի էին:
Սուրեյի համալսարանի պրոֆեսոր Քրեյգ Անդերվուդն ասում է, որ փորձի արդյունքները ապացուցում են CdTe-ի վրա հիմնված արևային վահանակի տեխնոլոգիան օգտագործելու հնարավորությունը մեծ, էժան տիեզերական արևային կայաններ ստեղծելու համար, որոնք մաքուր էներգիա կմատակարարեն Երկրին:
Հարկ է նշել, որ կադմիումի տելուրիդային արևային մարտկոցները նոր չեն: Նրանք աշխարհում ժողովրդականությամբ երկրորդ տեղն են զբաղեցնում սիլիկոնային արևային մարտկոցներից հետո: Բայց այս փորձը առաջին անգամն էր, որ նման մարտկոցները փորձարկվել են տիեզերքում: Հետազոտության արդյունքները ցույց են տալիս ապագա տիեզերական առաքելությունների համար սիլիկոնային մարտկոցներից հօգուտ CdTe-ի անցնելու հնարավորությունը:
Այնուամենայնիվ, հետազոտողները բախվել են տիեզերքում այդ մարտկոցների արդյունավետության նվազման խնդրին: Պատճառը վահանակի ներսում ոսկու տեղաշարժն էր, որը հանգեցրել էր շերտերի միջև միկրոշունթների առաջացմանը։ Խնդիրը շտկելու համար գիտնականներն առաջարկում են վերանախագծել վահանակի մի մասը օգտագործելով գետնի վրա տեղադրված CdTe-ի վրա հիմնված արևային մոդուլների համար օգտագործվող տեխնիկան:
Սակայն, չնայած բոլոր հաջողություններին, գիտնականների առջև նաև խնդիր է դրված մշակել տիեզերքում հավաքված էներգիան Երկիր փոխանցելու մեթոդ։ Այդ ուղղությամբ առաջին փորձերն արդեն իրականացվել են Կալիֆորնիայի տեխնոլոգիական ինստիտուտի հետազոտողների կողմից, սակայն առայժմ դա միայն հայեցակարգային ապացույցն է: Էներգիայի արդյունավետ փոխանցման համար կպահանջվեն լայնածավալ արբանյակներ և հզոր երկրային ընդունիչներ:
