Նախօրեին Հայաստան այցելած Իրաքի նախագահ Աբդ Ալ-Լատիֆ Ջամալ Ռաշիդը, մեր ունեցած տեղեկություններով, պատրաստվում է նոյեմբերի 24-ին այցելել Հանրապետության երկրորդ քացաք՝ Գյումրի։ Շիրակի մարզպետ Մուշեղ Մուրադյանը երեկ աշխատանքային խորհրդակցություն է անցկացրել աշխատակազմի պատասխանատուների և մարզի համայնքների ղեկավարների մասնակցությամբ, որի ընթացքում, մեր տեղեկություններով, քննարկվել է նաև Իրաքի նախագահին պատշաճ ընդունելու հարցը։

Թե ինչով է պայմանավորված Իրաքի նախագահի այցը Գյումրի, չի մանրամասնվել։ Ուշագրավ է հանգամանքը, որ Գյումրու նախկին քաղաքապետ Սամվել Բալասանյանի որդին՝ Միսակ Բալասանյանը Իրաքում ՀՀ-ի դեսպանն է, եւ թերևս դա է պատճառ հանդիսանում, որ Իրաքի նախագահն այցելի նաև Գյումրի։ Ավելին, ըստ լուրերի, Միսակ Բալասանյանն ինքն է ցանկություն հայտնել նախագահին հարազատ քաղաքում հյուրընկալել։ Նկատենք, որ Իրաքի նախագահի այցին ընդառաջ արդեն իսկ Գյումրիում որոշակի եռուզեռ է, փողոցների մաքրությունն առանձնահատուկ ուշադրության կենտրոնում է, անգամ որոշ ցուցադրական ելույթներ են նախատեսվում Վարդանանց հրապարակում։

Հիշեցնենք, որ Իրաքի նախագահ Աբդ Ալ-Լատիֆ Ջամալ Ռաշիդն այսօր ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի նախագահ Ալեն Սիմոնյանին էր հյուրընկալվել: Պաշտոնական ընդունելությանը հաջորդած առանձնազրույցի ընթացքում ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահը եւ Իրաքի նախագահը մտքեր են փոխանակել երկու երկրների խորհրդարանների գործունեության նմանությունների, խորհրդարանում փոքրամասնությունների ներկայացվածության, տարածաշրջանում տեւական խաղաղություն հաստատելու շուրջ:

Երեկ էլ Աբդ Ալ-Լատիֆ Ջամալ Ռաշիդին հյուրընկալել էր Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը:

Հանդիպմանը Հայոց Հովվապետն անդրադարձել էր  նաև Ադրբեջանի կողմից Արցախի դեմ սանձազերծված ռազմական ու ցեղասպանական գործողություններին, որոնց հետևանքով արցախահայությունը ենթարկվեց բռնի տեղահանության ։

Իր հերթին Իրաքի նախագահ Աբդ Ալ Լատիֆ Ջամալ Ռաշիդը տեղեկացրել է, որ իր պատվիրակության այցը Հայաստան նպատակ է հետապնդում առավել ամրապնդել ու զարգացնել երկու երկրների փոխգործակցությունը տարբեր ոլորտներում։ 

Իրաքի նախագահն այցելել էր նաև Հայոց ցեղասպանության հուշահամալիր:
