ՀՀԿ ԳՄ անդամ, ԱԺ նախկին փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովն իր ֆեյսբուքյան էջում գրել է.
«Պատմական փաստեր, թե ի՞նչ է լինում սխալ վեկտորի ընտրության դեպքում։
1920-ի սեպտեմբերին սկսվեց հայ-թուրքական պատերազմը։
Սեպտեմբերի 29-ին թուրքական զորքերը գրավեցին Սարիղամիշը և Կաղզվանը, հոկտեմբերի 30-ին՝ Կարսը, նոյեմբերի 7-ին՝ Ալեքսանդրապոլը, նոյեմբերի 12-ին՝ Աղինը։
1920 թ. այս օրը՝ նոյեմբերի 15-ին ՀՀ-ն ընդունեց Թուրքիայի վերջնագիրը։
Դրա հետեւանքը եղավ Ալեքսանդրապոլի պայմանագիրը՝ 1920թ. դեկտեմբերի 2-ին, ըստ որի ՀՀ-ն հրաժարվում էր Սեւրի պայմանագրից, Կարսից, Սուրմալուի ու Նախիջեւանի գավառներից ամբողջությամբ ու Շիրակի գավառի մի մասից։
ՀՀ-ի տարածքը փոքրանում եւ դառնում է ընդամենը մոտ 10.000 քառ. կմ։
ՀՀ-ն պարտվեց նաեւ սխալ արտաքին քաղաքական վեկտորի ընտրության պատճառով։
1920-ի ամռանը ՀՀ-ն միաժամանակ բանակցում էր ռուսական եւ արեւմտյան հարթակներում։
Ռուսասատա՞ն, թե՛՝ Արեւմուտք ընտրության մեջ ընտրեցինք երկրորդը։
Իսկ Արեւմուտքը բացի կենացներից ոչ մի օժանդակություն չցուցաբերեց մեզ։
Արդյունքում թշմամացանք Ռուսաստանի հետ ու միայնակ մնացինք Թուրքիայի դեմ պատերազմում։
Նոյեմբերի 7-ին թուրքերը մտան Ալեքսանդրապոլ, իսկ Արեւմուտքը մատը մատին չէր տալիս պաշտպանելու իր դաշնակից Հայաստանին։
Նրանք բավարարվում էին սոսկ գեղեցիկ հայտարարություններով։
Իսկ արդեն նոյեմբերի 22-ին Արեւմուտքը ցուցադրեց իր ողջ ցինիզմը։
Թուրքական զորքերը Երեւանի մատույցներում էին, իսկ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Վիլսոնը ռազմական ռեալ օգնություն ցուցաբերելու փոխարեն ընդամենը հերթական «թուղթն» է նվիրում հայերիս՝ ստորագրելով «իրավարար վճիռը»։
Թուրքական արշավանքը հսկայական վնաս հասցրեց հայ ժողովրդի արևելյան հատվածին։
Թուրքերը կոտորեցին 198 հազար մարդ, ավերեցին ավելի քան 140 բնակավայր՝ պատճառելով 20 միլիոն ռուբլու (ոսկով) վնաս։
Ու այս ամենը տեղի ունեցավ ՀՀ-Արեւմուտք դաշինքի առկայության դեպքում։
Սա ինչու՞ եմ պատմում։
Պատմում եմ, որ զուր պատրանքներ չունենաք Արեւմուտքի ռազմական օժանդակության պահով՝ թուրք-ադրբեջանական սպառնալիքի դեպքում։
Արեւմուտքի ոչ մի զինվոր չի գալու Հարավային Կովկաս թուրքերի դեմ պատերազմելու։
1920 -ի իրադարձություններն ապացուցեցին, որ Արեւմուտքի երկու բան է լավ ստացվում.
1. Թշնամացնել Հայաստանին Ռուսաստանի դեմ։
2. Իրենց գործողություններով նպաստել ՀՀ տարածքի շեշտակի փոքրացմանը։
Հարց կարող է առաջանալ. ինչպե՞ս է ՀՀ տարածքը 29.8 հազար քառ. կմ դարձել, եթե Ալեքսանդրապոլի պայմանագրով այն ընդամենը մոտ 10 հազ. քառ. կմ էր։
Ասեմ. Խորհրդային Ռուսաստանի կողմից Թուրքիային վերջնագիր ներկայացնելուց հետո»:
