Իսրայելի վարչապետ Բենիամին Նեթանյահուն ԱՄՆ-ին և Եվրոպային նախազգուշացրել է, որ նրանք կարող է լինել «հաջորդը», եթե Իսրայելի պաշտպանության բանակը չկործանի ՀԱՄԱՍ-ին: Նա այդ մասին ասել է FOX News-ի հետ հարցազրույցի ժամանակ։
«Մենք պետք է հաղթենք ոչ միայն հանուն մեզ, այլև հանուն Մերձավոր Արևելքի, հանուն մեր արաբ հարևանների: Գիտե՞ք ինչ, հանուն Գազայի բնակիչների, որոնք ենթարկվել են այս մութ բռնակալությանը, որը նրանց արյունահեղությունից, աղքատությունից ու թշվառությունից բացի ոչինչ չի բերել»,- ասել է Նեթանյահուն։
«Մենք պետք է հաղթենք, որպեսզի պաշտպանենք Իսրայելը: Մենք պետք է հաղթենք, որպեսզի պաշտպանենք Մերձավոր Արևելքը: Մենք պետք է հաղթենք հանուն քաղաքակիրթ աշխարհի: Դա այն ճակատամարտն է, որը մենք մղում ենք հենց հիմա: Այդ հաղթանակին այլընտրանք չկա: Եթե մենք հիմա չհաղթենք, ապա հաջորդը Եվրոպան է, իսկ հաջորդը` դուք: Ուստի, մենք պետք է հաղթենք: Մեր պայքարը ձեր պայքարն է», - հավելել է նա:
Նրա խոսքով՝ «քաղաքակրթության ուժերին պետք է թույլ տալ հաղթել բարբարոսներին, քանի որ հակառակ դեպքում այս բարբարոսությունը կտարածվի և կվտանգի ամբողջ աշխարհը»: Ըստ նրա՝ «յուրաքանչյուր ամերիկացի, յուրաքանչյուր քաղաքակիրթ երկիր վտանգի տակ է լինելու»:
