Ակնհայտ էր չէ՞, որ ադրբեջանական դատարանը 68- ամյա Վագիֆ Խաչատրյանին չէր էլ արդարացնելու կամ ազատ չէր արձակելու: Այս մասին Facebook-ի իր էջում գրել է Հայաստանի նախկին ՄԻՊ Արման Թաթոյանը:
Նա նաեւ նշել է. «Պարզ էր չէ՞, որ այդ իբր դատական գործընթացը լինելու էր կեղծ ապացույցներով բեմադրություն և անարդարության մարմնավորում։ Վագիֆ Խաչատրյանին ադրբեջանական իշխանությունն ուղղակի դարձրեց իր քաղաքական խաղերի հերթական զոհը, որով լեգիտիմացնելու նպատակ ունի իր հանցանքներն ու նվաստանցել հայ ժողովրդին:
15 տարի զրկել մարդուն ազատությունից, այն էլ խիստ պայմաններում պահել Բաքվի բանտում, չի տալիս որևէ երաշխիք, որ առողջական խնդիրներով տարեց արցախցին ի վիճակի կլինի դիմակայել ադրբեջանական թշնամանքի այդ մթնոլորտում:
Իսկ դեռ քանի՞ այդպիսի անմեղ քաղաքացի է ադրբեջանական թիրախում, դեռ որքա՞ն է տիրելու այս անպատժելիություն։ Հարցեր, որոնց լուծումները, թեև հրատապ են, բայց այս պահին, ցավոք, բացակայում են:
Մի բան հստակ է. քանի դեռ Հայաստանի գյուղերի և քաղաքների հարևանությամբ, ճանապարհներին կան ադրբեջանական զինված ծառայողներ, մեր քաղաքացիները շարունակելու ենք գտնվել վտանգի տակ: Իսկ ադրբեջանական կողմի հանցավոր արարքները շարունակվելու են, քանի դեռ այդ երկրի ֆաշիստական իշխանությունն գործում է պատասխանատվության բացակայության պայմաններում»:
