Մի շարք վերլուծաբաններ կարծում են, որ Բաքուն Արաքս գետի վրա կամուրջ կառուցելու վերաբերյալ Թեհրանի հետ համաձայնագրի ստորագրումն օգտագործում է որպես լծակ Հայաստանի վրա ճնշում գործադրելու համար, և ազնիվ չէ Իրանի հետ հարաբերություններում։

Ադրբեջանի արտգործնախարար Ջեյհուն Բայրամովը, անդրադառնալով Բաքվի և Թեհրանի միջև Իրանի տարածքով Նախիջևան հաղորդակցության միջանցքի անցման վերաբերյալ համաձայնագրին, ասել է, որ Իրանի տարածքով միջանցքի (Ադրբեջանի Հանրապետության տարածքի և Նախիջևանի միջև) անցման վերաբերյալ համաձայնությունից հետո, Հայաստանից ավելի շատ դրական տեսակետներ ենք լսում հաղորդակցային  միջանցքների վերաբերյալ։
Այդ մասին գրում է Pars Today-ը՝ հղում անելով «Ախար» լրատվական կայքին։ Ըստ այդմ, Բայրամովն ընդգծել է. 
«Հայաստանի իշխանությունների հայտարարությունները աղերս չունեն գործնական քայլերի  հետ։ Հույս ունենք, որ Հայաստանը մի կողմ կթողնի իր սխալ քաղաքականությունը՝ օգտագործելով ներկա պատմական հնարավորությունը՝ կայուն խաղաղության հասնելու  համար»։

Սա այն դեպքում, երբ, Թեհրանի անհամաձայնությունից բացի, Հայաստանի վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը ավելի վաղ ընդգծել էր իր կտրուկ անհամաձայնությունը՝ միջանցքը Հայաստանի տարածքով անցնելու կապակցությամբ, հիշեցնում է պարբերականը։
