«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.
life.ru-ն «Փաշինյանին Գյումրու ռուսական ռազմաբազայի մասին խոսքերից հետո առաջարկել են էքսկուրս Վրաստանի և Ուկրաինայի պատմություն» վերնագրով հոդվածում գրում է, որ նախկին խորհրդային հանրապետությունների տարածքում գտնվող ռուսական ռազմաբազաներն օգնում են վերջիններիս՝ պաշտպանել այն իրավիճակից, երբ Արևմուտքը ցանկանում է «համտեսել» նրանց: Այդ մասին «Կոմսոմոլսկայա պրավդա» ռադիոկայանին ասել է Ռազմաքաղաքական վերլուծության բյուրոյի ղեկավար Ալեքսանդր Միխայլովը՝ մեկնաբանելով Գյումրիում ռուսական զորախմբի մասին Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի հայտարարությունները։
«Ընտրությունը միշտ էլ Երևանինն է, բայց, իմ կարծիքով, որքան Հայաստանի տարածքում երկար մնան ռուս զինվորականները, այնքան ավելի ապահով կլինի հայ ժողովրդի կյանքը»,- վստահ է փորձագետը։ Նա հիշեցրել է Վրաստանի, Ուկրաինայի, Բալթյան և Կենտրոնական Ասիայի երկրների ճակատագրերը, որոնք փաստացի կորցրել են իրենց ինքնիշխանությունը և վերահսկվում են Արևմուտքի կողմից այն բանից հետո, երբ այդ պետությունների անհեռատես ղեկավարությունները Ռուսաստանի հետ առճակատման ուղին են ընտրել։ Միխայլովը Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին համեմատել է Վլադիմիր Զելենսկու հետ՝ նրան անվանելով նույն՝ «սեփական քաղաքական անկարողության պատանդը»։ Քաղաքագետը նաև հավելել է, որ այժմ գրագետ հայերը հիանալի հասկանում են, թե իրենց ուր է տանում սեփական իշխանությունը, և որ Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության ռազմակայանը Հայաստանում խաղաղության լավ երաշխավոր է։
Ընդ որում, Ռուսաստանը չի ստիպում հանրապետություններին իր բանակին կերակրել, ապահովում է ներկայություն իր հաշվին, ինչը չի կարելի ասել ՆԱՏՕ-ի բազաների մասին, որոնք հաճախ գոյատևում են ընդունող երկրների հաշվին։ Հիշեցնենք, որ ամերիկացի լրագրողներին տված հարցազրույցում Փաշինյանը նշել էր, որ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի իրադարձությունները Հայաստանին ցույց տվեցին անվտանգության ոլորտում հարաբերությունները դիվերսիֆիկացնելու անհրաժեշտությունը։ Նրա խոսքով, Երևանը նոր գործընկերներ է փնտրում, քանի որ Ռուսաստանը «չի կատարել իր դաշնակցային պարտավորությունները»։ Նա նաև հայտարարել է, որ երկրի համար որևէ օգուտ չի տեսնում իր տարածքում ռուսական ռազմակայանի տեղակայումից, սակայն հավելել է, որ դրա դուրսբերումը ներկայում չի քննարկվում։
