Ռուբեն վարդապետ Զարգարյանը Ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.
Եղիսաբեթի ծննդաբերության ժամանակը հասավ, և նա մի որդի ծնեց։ Երբ նրա հարևաններն ու ազգականները լսեցին, թե ինչքան մեծ է եղել Տիրոջ ողորմությունը նրա հանդեպ, ուրախացան Եղիսաբեթի հետ։
Փոքրիկի ծննդյան ութերորդ օրը եկան նրան թլփատելու, և երբ նրան իր հոր անունով ուզում էին Զաքարիա կոչել, մայրն ասաց.
-Ո՛չ, Հովհաննես պիտի կոչվի։
Սակայն ներկաներն առարկում էին՝ ասելով.
-Բայց ձեր գերդաստանի մեջ Հովհաննես անունով ոչ մեկը չկա։
Այս պատճառով նշանացի դիմեցին նրա հորը՝ իմանալու համար, թե ի՛նչ կկամենա, որ կոչվի երեխան։ Զաքարիան մի տախտակ ուզեց և վրան գրեց՝ Հովհաննես։ Բոլորն էլ զարմացան։ Նույն պահին Զաքարիայի լեզուն բացվեց, և նա սկսեց խոսել և օրհնել Աստծուն։ Վախ ընկավ բոլոր ներկաների և հարևանների մեջ, որոնք լսեցին այս, և Հրեաստանի ամբողջ լեռնակողմում ամեն մարդ այս մասին էր խոսում։ Այս լսելով՝ ամենքն էլ խորհում էին և ասում.
-Արդյոք այս մանուկն ինչպիսի՞ն կլինի։
Եվ Տիրոջ զորությունը նրա հետ էր։

Հովհաննեսը իր պաշտոնն ավարտելու ժամանակ ասաց. «Ի՞նչ եք կարծում իմ մասին, ո՞վ եմ ես։ Ես ձեր սպասած անձը չեմ։ Ահա ինձնից հետո գալիս է նա, որի կոշիկները հանելու իսկ արժանի չեմ ես»։
Եղբայրնե՛ր, Աբրահամի տոհմի զավակնե՛ր և ձեր մեջ գտնվող աստվածավա՛խ մարդիկ, փրկության այս պատգամն Աստված ձե՛զ ուղարկեց, որովհետև Երուսաղեմի բնակիչներն ու նրանց իշխանները չճանաչեցին Հիսուսին և նրան դատապարտելով՝ կատարեցին մարգարեների խոսքը, որ ընթերցում էին ամեն շաբաթ օր։ Ու թեև մահվան արժանի ոչ մի հանցանք չգտան նրա վրա, սակայն Պիղատոսից պահանջեցին, որ սպանվի։ Երբ կատարեցին նրա մասին բոլոր գրվածները, խաչափայտից իջեցրին նրան և գերեզման դրեցին։ Բայց Աստված մեռելներից հարություն տվեց նրան, և Հիսուսը բազում օրեր երևաց նրանց, որոնք նրա հետ Գալիլեայից Երուսաղեմ էին եկել և որոնք այժմ նրա վկաներն են ժողովրդի առջև։ Մենք էլ ահա ավետում ենք ձեզ, որ Աստված մեր հայրերին տված իր խոստումը կատարեց մեր օրերին, մեզ համար, որ նրանց որդիներն ենք։ Այդ խոստումը կատարեց՝ հարություն տալով Հիսուսին, ինչպես երկրորդ սաղմոսում էլ գրված է. «Դու իմ որդին ես, և ես այսօր ծնեցի քեզ»։
