Արմեն Պետրոսյանը Ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.

Նախօրեին Քուվեյթի դատարանը հանձնարարել է ի կատար ածել Իրանի և լիբանանյան «Հիզբալլահ» շիայական արմատական կազմակերպության օգտին լրտեսություն իրականացնելու մեղադրանքով ձերբակալված 2 դատապարտյալների մահապատիժը: Խոսքը մեկ իրանցու և Քուվեյթի մեկ քաղաքացու մասին է, որոնք դատապարտվել են կախաղանի. ի դեպ, Իսլամական Հանրապետության քաղաքացին դատապարտվել է հեռակա կարգով, քանի որ նա հասցրել է լքել երկրի սահմանները մինչև «ահաբեկչական բջջի» անդամների ձերբակալությունները:

 

Դեռևս 2015թ. օգոստոսին Քուվեյթի իշխանությունները հայտարարել էին սեփական երկրի տարածքում գտնվող «իրանական ահաբեկչական ցանցի» բացահայտման մասին, ինչպես նաև՝ առգրավել մեծ քանակությամբ զենք ու զինամթերք: Ընդանուր առմամբ, քրեական գործի շրջանակներում ձերբակալվել էր 26 անձ, որոնցից մեկն արդարացվել է, մյուսները՝ դատապարտվել տարբեր ժամկետներով ազատազրկման:
Կասկածից վեր է, որ Քուվեյթի իշխանությունների վերոնշյալ որոշումը կապված է հունվարի 2-ին Սաուդյան Արաբիայի իշխանությունների կողմից շիա հոգևորական Նիմր Բակր ալ-Նիմրի մահապատժի հետ, որը լուրջ լարվածություն առաջացրեց Իրանի և Սաուդյան Արաբիայի գլխավորությամբ մի շարք արաբական երկրների հարաբերություններում: Իսկ նման քայլը, միանշանակ, կարելի է գնահատել որպես Քուվեյթի կողմից դիվանագիտական հարթությունից բացի (Քուվեյթը հետ էր կանչել Իրանում իր դեսպանին) Ալ-Ռիադին նաև նման եղանակով աջակցելու փորձ:
