Շելլի և Գրեգ Տակերներն ամուսնացել են 2009 թվականին, և շուտով ծնվել է նրանց առաջնեկը՝ Օուենը: Բայց նրանք որոշեցին չսահմանափակվել, և Օուենին քույր կամ եղբայր նվիրել: Բայց դրա հետ կապված մեծ խնդիրներ առաջացան: Սկզբում Շելլին երկար ժամանակ չէր կարողանում հղիանալ:
Նա անպտղության դեմ բուժման կուրս անցավ և դա օգնեց նրան: Նրանք իմացան, որ շուտով իրենց ընտանիքում նոր փոքրիկ է հայտնվելու: Շելլին կրծքի տակ երկվորյակներ էր կրում: Բայց նրանք ժամանակից շուտ էին ուրախացել…
Ուլտրաձայնային հետազոտության արդյունքները ցույց տվեցին, որ երկվորյակները սիամական էին:
Բժիշկները զգուշացրեցին Տակերներին, որ երեխաներին բարեհաջող առանձնացնելու շանսերը շատ քիչ են: Այդ պատճառով էլ նրանք առաջարկեցին Շելլին ընդհատել հղիությունը: Բայց մայրիկն այդպես էլ չկարողացավ այդպիսի որոշում կայացնել:
Մայրիկը չհրաժարվեց իր երեխաներից, և կրեց նրանց 9 ամիս: Աղջիկները ժամանակին լույս աշխարհ եկան՝ կեսարյան հատման միջոցով:
Աղջիկներին անվանեցին Էլիսոն Ջուն և Ամելի Լի: Երեխաներին բաժանելու համար, պետք էր, որ նրանք մի փոքր մեծանային և ամրանային: Վիրահատությունը նշանակվեց, երբ նրանք ութ ամսական դարձան:
Մինչ դա, երեխաները մեծանում էին բժիշկների հսկողության տակ: Բարեբախտաբար, նրանց զարգացման ընթացքում, ոչ մի շեղում չէր եղել: Եվ աղջիկները լավ պատրաստված էին նշանակված վիրահատությանը:
40 բուժաշխատողներից բաղկացած խումբը 7 ժամ շարունակ աղջիկների բաժանման շատ բարդ վիրահատություն կատարեց: Չնայած բարդ վիրահտությանը՝ ամեն ինչ շատ լավ անցավ:
Էլիսոն Ջունը և Ամելի Լին վերջապես «ազատվեցին, բաժանվեցին» միմյանցից:
Տեսնելով իր աղջիկների առաջին քայլերը՝ մայրիկը շատ ուրախ է, որ ժամանակին ճիշտ որոշում է կայացրել:
