«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Երևանի ավագանու ընտրությունների նախընտրական քարոզարշավի ողջ ընթացքում թեկնածուներից Տիգրան Ավինյանն ամեն ինչ արեց՝ ընտրություններն ապաքաղաքականացնելու և մունիցիպալ հարթություն տեղափոխելու համար: Այդ «մեթոդին» աջակցեցին մերձիշխանական այլ ուժեր ևս: Սա՝ այն դեպքում, երբ հիմնական ընդդիմադիր ուժերն առաջին պլան էին մղում քաղաքական գործոնը, ի մասնավորի՝ ամբողջական իշխանափոխության գաղափարը:

Սակայն թե՛ հոկտեմբերի 10-ին ընդառաջ հետընտրական զարգացումները, թե՛ այն հանգամանքը, որ իշխանափոխության կուլմինացիան տեղափոխվեց հրապարակ, սակայն նորից արդյունք չտվեց, արդեն բուն ավագանու առաջին նիստը և վերջինիս հետագա գործունեությունն, ըստ էության, դարձնում են ապաքաղաքական, այսինքն՝ առավելապես մունիցիպալ: Առավել ևս, որ ավագանու կազմ անցած երկու ուժերը՝ «Ազգային առաջընթաց» կուսակցությունն ու «Մայր Հայաստան» դաշինքը, հայտարարել են, որ առաջին նիստին չեն մասնակցելու: Ըստ այդմ, առավել ևս առկա իրողությունների ֆոնին, այլևս երկրորդական է դառնում, թե ով կընտրվի Երևանի քաղաքապետ, թեկուզ պարզ հաշվարկները ցույց են տալիս, որ այդ պաշտոնը կստանձնի Տիգրան Ավինյանը:

Ավելին, հաշվի առնելով, որ ընտրվելուց հետո մեկ տարի նրան չեն կարող անվստահություն հայտնել, ստացվում է, որ առնվազն մեկ տարի քաղաքական գործոնը բացարձակ դուրս է մղվում Երևանի ավագանու նիստերից, իսկ եթե, ի տարբերություն իշխանական ողջ համակարգի, Ավինյանին մեկ տարում հաջողվի, ինչպես ասում են, գոնե աշխատել, ապա գուցե մեկ տարի հետո էլ Երևանի ավագանին մնա սոսկ մունիցիպալ հարթության մեջ...
