Ռուսաստանը չի ապահովել խաղաղությունն ու անվտանգությունը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի շուրջ, հայտարարել է ԵՄ խորհրդի ղեկավարը Euronews-ին տված հարցազրույցում։ Շառլ Միշելը սա անվանել է «դավաճանություն» հայ ժողովրդի նկատմամբ։

Եվրոմիության խորհրդի նախագահը կարծում է, որ Ռուսաստանը դավաճանել է էթնիկ հայերին, նման դաս պետք է քաղել Ադրբեջանի հետ հակամարտությունից, որը ռազմական գործողության ընթացքում Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը վերադարձրեց իր վերահսկողությանը։

-Իրավիճակը պարզ է՝ ոչ ոք չի կարող դա չտեսնել, որ Ռուսաստանը դավաճանել է հայ բնակչությանը։ Ռուսաստանը ցանկություն է հայտնել, որ իր զինվորները ներկա գտնվեն այնտեղ և երաշխավորեն կայունության և անվտանգության վերաբերյալ համաձայնագրերը։ Եվ մենք տեսնում ենք, որ այս ռազմական գործողությունն սկսվեց առանց ասպարեզում գտնվող Ռուսաստանի կողմից նվազագույն արձագանքի, ի տարբերություն Եվրոմիության, որն այնտեղ ռազմական ներկայություն չունի, ինչպես գիտեք։
Ես մտադիր եմ միջնորդություն առաջարկել Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև այս շաբաթվա վերջին Իսպանիայի Գրանադա քաղաքում կայանալիք ԵՄ գագաթնաժողովի ժամանակ։

Հունվարի 1-ից Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետությունը կդադարի գոյություն ունենալ: Ինչպե՞ս կարելի է վստահություն ստեղծել այս պայմաններում։

Կարծում եմ, որ Ադրբեջանը մեծ պատասխանատվություն ունի այն պահից, երբ սկսեց ռազմական գործողությունը։ Այժմ Ադրբեջանը պետք է բարի կամք դրսևորի և միջազգային հանրությանը ներգրավի իրավիճակի մոնիթորինգին, որպեսզի պաշտպանվեն Ադրբեջանում ապրող ողջ բնակչության, այդ թվում՝ հայ բնակչության իրավունքներն ու անվտանգությունը։
Բրյուսելի և Բաքվի հարաբերությունները մնում են բարդ, բայց խոստումնալից: Անցյալ տարի Եվրոմիությունը շատ բան արեց Ադրբեջանից ավելի շատ բնական գազ ստանալու համար։ ԵՄ խորհրդի ղեկավարն ասել է, որ Ադրբեջանը պետք է ավելի շատ ներգրավվի Կովկասում անվտանգության ամրապնդման և համագործակցության զարգացմանն ուղղված ջանքերում:
