Երևանի ավագանու ներկայիս ընտրությունները դառնում են մի քայլ, որը կբերի իշխանափոխության և խորը փոփոխությունների։ «Արցախի անվտանգության և զարգացան ճակատի» համակարգող, նախկին պետնախարար Ռուբեն Վարդանյանն է այդ մասին նշել, մեկնաբանելով երևանցիների կատարած ընտրությունը։

Նրա խոսքով, այս ընտրությունների հիմնական դասն այն է, որ հնարավոր չեղավ ապահովել մասնակցության բարձր մակարդակ և ընտրատեղամասեր բերել ակտիվ, խելամիտ, փոփոխությունների հնարավորությանը հավատացող հասարակության զանգվածներին, ովքեր կքվեարկեին այլընտրանք առաջարկող ուժերի օգտին։ «Մյուս կարևոր եզրակացությունն այն է, որ գործող իշխանությունը չունի հանրային վստահություն։ Անգամ Փաշինյանի մասնակցությունն ի պաշտպանություն իր թեկնածուի հանրահավաքին չստիպեց ընտրողներին գնալ քվեարկության, իսկ «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագրին» նույնիսկ ռեկորդային ցածր մասնակցության պայմաններում չհաջողվեց ստանալ ընտրությունների մասնակիցների ձայների մեծամասնությունը։ Սա նշանակում է, որ ներկայիս իշխանությունը ոչ միայն չունի հանրության մեծամասնության աջակցությունը (2018-ի ընտրությունների համեմատ այս ուժը կորցրել է ընտրողների գրեթե երեք/քառորդի աջակցությունը), այլև իշխանությունների գործողությունները ստիպել են բնակչությանը. հեռու մնալ քաղաքականությունից, ցույց տալ, որ չեն կարող այդ ուժին վստահել իրենց իրավունքների և շահերի պաշտպանությունը։ «Հենց այս առումով է, որ Երևանի ավագանու ներկայիս ընտրությունները դառնում են մի քայլ, որը կբերի իշխանափոխության և խորը փոփոխությունների»»,- ասել է Վարդանյանը։
