Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի խոսքով՝ Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը, ՀՀ դատարանը պետք է ամեն ինչ անեն ՀՀ քաղաքացիների շահերը լիարժեքորեն պաշտպանելու համար: Նա նշեց, որ տուժողի իրավահաջորդներն ունեն փաստաբանական շատ ուժեղ և պրոֆեսիոնալ թիմ, և հույս հայտնեց, որ այս հարցում այդ թիմը հանրության աջակցության կարիքը չի ունենա, գյումրեցին և մենք՝ բոլորս, ստիպված չենք լինի դուրս գալու փողոց՝ ապացուցելու, որ մենք այս հարցում հետևողական ենք լինելու. «Սա քմահաճույք չէ: Գյումրիում տասնյակ հազարավոր ընտանիքներ են ապրում: Այս դատավարության կարևոր գործառույթներից մեկն այն է, որ շատ ամուր երաշխիքներ ստեղծվեն, որ այն, ինչ տեղի է ունեցել, դրա կրկնությունն ուղղակի բացառվում է»:
«Խնդիրն այն է, որ մենք պետք է ունենանք վստահելի դատավարություն, վստահելի դատավճիռ,- նշեց Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը, չեմ կասկածում, որ Պերմյակովը կդատապարտվի ցմահ ազատազրկման, բայց սրա հետ կապված հարցը միայն դա չէ: Մեզ հարկավոր է ունենալ տեղի ունեցածի ողջ պատկերը՝ իր պատճառահետևանքային կապերով»:
