Սա սարսափելի հանցագործություն է, ցեղասպանություն է` որն իրականացվում է Ադրբեջանի իշխանությունների եւ բռնապետ Ալիևի կողմից։ Այս մասին ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի` Թոմ Լանթոսի անվան Մարդու իրավունքների հանձնաժողովում Արցախի հարցով հրավիրված լսումների ժամանակ հայտարարեց հանձնաժողովի համանախագահ Քրիստոֆեր Սմիթը, հայտնում է news.am-ը։
Նրա խոսքով՝ 120 հազար էթնիկ հայեր տառապում են Ադրբեջանի կառավարության պատճառով:
Սմիթը ասաց, որ Արցախում մարդու իրավունքների հետ կապված նոր օրինագիծ են պատրաստում եւ այժմ աշխատում են այդ ուղղությամբ:
«Ադրբեջանն ուզում է Արցախն ընդգրկել Ադրբեջանի մեջ, այդ նպատակը գուցե անընդունելի է, նա դրան փորձում է հասնել ցեղասպանության միջոցով: Նա չի փորձում լուծումներ առաջարկել Արցախի բնակչության համար: 2022-ի դեկտեմբերի 12-ից Ադրբեջանը կտրել է Արցախի կապն արտաքին աշխարհի հետ` փորձելով նրանց մատնել սովամահության, որ ի վերջո նրանք մահանան»,- ասաց Սմիթը:
Սմիթի խոսքով՝ ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից Ադրբեջանին ցանկացած աջակցություն կդիտվի որպես հանցակցություն:
