Osnmedia.ru–ն «Կովկասագետ Կռիլովը Հայաստանին հիշեցրել է Վրաստանի ճակատագրի մասին՝ որպես ՆԱՏՕ-ի խամաճիկի» վերնագրով հոդվածում գրում է, որ ՆԱՏՕ-ի ընդլայնման եվրոպական կոմիտեի նախագահ Գյունթեր Ֆեհլինգերը կոչ է արել Հայաստանին՝ միանալ Հյուսիսատլանտյան դաշինքին։ Այս մասին նա գրել է իր X (նախկին Twitter) օգտահաշվում՝ դիմելով Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին։ Osnmedia–ի թղթակիցը դիմել է Կովկասյան հետազոտությունների գիտական ընկերության նախագահ և ՌԴ ԳԱ Միջազգային հարաբերությունների համաշխարհային տնտեսության ինստիտուտի փորձագետ Ալեքսանդր Կռիլովին՝ պարզելու, թե արդյո՞ք ՆԱՏՕ-ին անդամակցելը համահունչ է հայ ազգի շահերին։
«Նման կոչերը մաս են կազմում կոլեկտիվ Արևմուտքի և Կովկասում նրա դաշնակիցների կողմից Ռուսաստանի դեմ մղվող քարոզչական պատերազմի,- ասել է փորձագետը, կարգախոսներ, որոնք կոչ են անում տարածաշրջանի այս կամ այն երկրին՝ միանալ Հյուսիսատլանտյան դաշինքին, արդեն իսկ հնչել են Վրաստանի հասցեին։ Բայց Թբիլիսին արդեն հասցրել է համոզվել, որ ՆԱՏՕ-ի դռները փակ են իր համար, որքան էլ հավատարմորեն ծառայի Վաշինգտոնին։ Ակնհայտորեն, նույն ճանապարհն այժմ առաջարկվում է Երևանի համար»։ Ըստ պարբերականի զրուցակցի, Հայաստանին իրականում առաջարկվել է խզել հարաբերությունները Մոսկվայի հետ և տարածաշրջանում ռուս խաղաղապահներին փոխարինել ՆԱՏՕ-ի զորքերով։ «Հարկ է նշել, որ վերը նշված ամեն ինչ ակնհայտորեն հակասում է հայ ժողովրդի շահերին,- ընդգծել է Կռիլովը,– միևնույն ժամանակ, ինչպես արդեն տեսել ենք, հետխորհրդային տարածքում շատ են ռեժիմները, որոնց ղեկավարները առաջնորդվում են բացառապես անձնական, այլ ոչ թե ազգային շահերով»:
Քաղաքագետը հիշեցրել է, որ Հայաստանն արդեն ողբերգական փորձ ունի, երբ հավատացել է Արևմուտքի անվտանգության երաշխիքներին։ «Ժամանակին նման պետություն է եղել՝ Կիլիկյան Հայաստանը, որի բնակիչներին Հայոց ցեղասպանությունից հետո ֆրանսիացիները խոստացել էին պաշտպանել,- ասել է փորձագետը, - մարդիկ վերադարձել են իրենց հայրենի հողերը, իսկ հետո նրանց «հովանավորները» պարզապես հեռացել են՝ ոչ մի կերպ չզգուշացնելով իրենց խնամակալներին։ Արդյունքում հերթական կոտորածն է տեղի ունեցել, բազմաթիվ հայեր են զոհվել։ Ուրեմն, այդ ժողովուրդը պետք է հիշի իր պատմությունը, որպեսզի նորից ազգային աղետ չապրի»։
