Հայ-ադրբեջանական հարաբերությունների կարգավորման նպատակով լավ մեկնարկ կլիներ այն, եթե Հայաստանը «ներողություն խնդրեր Ադրբեջանից» (չակերտները՝ Tert.am) անցյալում տեղի ունեցած «վայրագությունների» (չակերտները՝ Tert.am) համար: Այս մասին ասել է Ադրբեջանի նախագահի օգնական, աշխատակազմի արտաքին քաղաքականության հարցերով վարչության պետ Հիքմեթ Հաջիևը՝ Arab News-ի հետ զրույցում:
Անդրադառնալով Լաչինի միջանցքի ապօրինի շրջափակմանն ու Արցախում բնակչության հումանիտար ծանր վիճակին՝ նա հայտարարել է, թե իբր Բաքվի հասցեին «չհիմնավորված» (չակերտները՝ Tert.am) մեղադրանքներ են հնչում և որ որևէ «շրջափակում չկա» (չակերտները՝ Tert.am):
«Այն, ինչ առաջարկում է Ադրբեջանը, բազմաթիվ ճանապարհներ ունենալն է։ Իսկ կարևոր ճանապարհներից է Աղդամ (Ակնա)-Խանքենդի (Ստեփանակերտ) ճանապարհը։ Այն շատ ավելի արդյունավետ է և ունի ավելի շատ նյութատեխնիկական հնարավորություններ՝ հասնելու «ղարաբաղյան տարածաշրջան» (չակերտները՝ Tert.am, Արցախի Հանրապետություն), քանի որ Ադրբեջանն ամբողջությամբ վերակառուցել է այն:
Ներկայում Լաչին-Խանքենդի (Ստեփանակերտ) ճանապարհը շահագործվում է և գործում։ Կարմիր խաչի և Կարմիր մահիկի միջազգային կոմիտեն ավտոշարասյուններ է անցկացնում այս ճանապարհով։
Բայց մենք առաջարկում ենք բացել Աղդամ (Ակնա)-Խանքենդի (Ստեփանակերտ) ճանապարհը։ Դա կապահովի ինտեգրումը, Ադրբեջանը կունենա ուղիղ մուտք դեպի Խանքենդի (Ստեփանակերտ) և անմիջական կապ ղարաբաղցի հայերի հետ, որոնք իրենց հերթին հնարավորություն կունենան օգտագործել Ադրբեջանի հիմնական ճանապարհային համակարգը՝ հասնելու Ադրբեջանի այլ շրջաններ», - ասել է Հաջիևը:
