Արագածի լեռնազանգվածի հարավային բարձրադիր հատվածում հայտնաբերվել է նոր հնագիտական հուշարձան

ՀՀ ԳԱԱ հնագիտության և ազգագրության ինստիտուտի և Վենետիկի համալսարանի վիշապաքարերը հետազոտող արշավախումբը 2012 թ. Արագածի լեռնազանգվածի հարավային բարձրադիր հատվածում, ծովի մակերևույթից մոտ 3000 մ բարձրության վրա, հայտնաբերել է նոր հնագիտական հուշարձան՝ Տիրինկատար (Կարմիր սար) անվամբ:
Այստեղ մոտ 40 հա մակերես ունեցող սարահարթի վրա կենտրոնացած են 12 վիշապաքարեր, որոնք առնչվում են կրոմլեխատիպ կառույցներին (հարթակներին): Դրանց շրջակայքում կան այլ կրոմլեխներ, ժայռապատկերներ, կլորավուն կառույցներ, հսկայի տներ, և այլն: Սկսած 2013 թ. պեղումներ են իրականացվում Տիրինկատարում՝ վիշապաքարերի երևույթն ավելի խորն ընկալելու և այդ կոթողները թվագրելու նպատակով: Հայկական կողմից արշավախմբի ղեկավարը ԳԱԱ հնագիտության և ազգագրության ինստիտուտի տնօրեն Արսեն Բոբոխյանն է։
ՀՀ կրթության, գիտության, մշակույթի և սպորտի նախարարության պատմության և մշակույթի հուշարձանների պահպանության վարչության, «Պատմամշակութային ժառանգության գիտահետազոտական կենտրոն» և «Պատմամշակութային արգելոց-թանգարանների և պատմական միջավայրի պահպանության ծառայություն» ՊՈԱԿ-ների մասնագետները աշխատանքային այցով Արագածոտնի մարզի Տիրինկատար հնավայրում էին։ Աշխատանքային խումբը ծանոթացել է 10-րդ տարին իրականացվող վիշապաքարերի պեղումների ընթացքին, ուսումնասիրվել են հուշարձանների և նախատեսվող պահպանական գոտիների սահմանները։
Համայնքի ներկայացուցիչների ներկայացմամբ՝ տարածքը իրենց համար միշտ սրբավայր է եղել, իսկ տարածքում առկա վիշապաքարերն ու ժայռապատկերները պահպանվել են համայնքի կողմից։
Առաջիկայում կազմված փաստաթղթերը կներկայացվեն նախարարություն և կքննարկվեն փորձագիտական հանձնաժողովի կողմից՝ Տիրինկատար հնավայրին նորահայտ հուշարձանի կարգավիճակ տալու և պահպանական գոտին հաստատելու համար։
