Պորտուգալիան դարձել է Եվրոպայի ամենականաչ պետությունը։ Եվրամիության անդամն օրենսդրորեն ամրագրել է՝ մինչև 2050 թվականն արտանետումների զրոյական մակարդակի հասնելու նպատակը։

Պորտուգալիայի ազգային գործողությունների ծրագիրն էներգետիկայի և կլիմայի ոլորտում մինչև 2030 թվականը նախանշել էր, որ պետք է էլեկտրականության առնվազն 80 %-ը արտադրվի վերականգնվող էներգիայի աղբյուրներից, իսկ այժմ 2030 թվականի փոխարեն նշվում է 2026 թվականը։ Ըստ էության երկիրն առնվազն 4 տարով առաջ է օրենսդրորեն սահմանված ժամկետից, ինչը նշանակում է, որ Պորտուգալիային կհաջողվի բացարձակ զրոյական մակարդակի հասնել մի քանի տարի ավելի շուտ, քան նախատեսվում էր, արդեն 2055 թվականին։

2023 թվականի սկզբին արևային վահանակներն ու քամու կայաններն արտադրել են Պորտուգալիայի էլեկտրաէներգիայի կեսից ավելին։ «Էմբեր» վերլուծական կենտրոնի փորձագետ Մեդ Յուենը նշել է, թե Պորտուգալիան անցել է էներգետիկ զարգացման հաջորդ փուլ։

Պորտուգալիայի շրջակա միջավայրի և կլիմայի պաշտպանության նախարարության հայտարարության մեջ նշվում է, թե հաջորդ փուլում ավելի մեծ թվով արևային ֆոտոէլեկտրական սարքավորումներ են տեղադրելու, նաև անցնելու են ջրածնի և քամու միջոցով էլեկտրաէներգիայի արտադրմանը։ Նման քաղաքականությունն արդեն իսկ պրակտիկ օգուտները տվել է։

Հանրային տրանսպորտն ամբողջությամբ անցել է էլեկտրականության և այժմ Պորտուգալիայում նոր ազգային երկաթուղային տոմս է ներդրվել, որը թույլ է տալիս ամսական 49 եվրոյով անսահմանափակ քանակությամբ օգտվել գնացքներից և մետրոյից։ Այս սխեման սկսել է գործել օգոստոսի 1-ից և Կառավարության կողմից համարվում է որպես էկոլոգիապես մաքուր տրանսպորտային լուծում։

Պորտուգալիայի օրինակը կարող է հրաշալի լինել նաև Հայաստանի Հանրապետության համար։ Մեր երկրում արևային վահանակներ արտադրող միայն մեկ ընկերություն կա՝ «Սոլարոնը»։
