Հայաստանն օգոստոսի 4-ի դրությամբ գտնվում է Սև ծովից ներթափանցած ցիկլոնի ազդեցության գոտում։ Դրա հետևանքով հանրապետության մի շարք շրջաններում առկա են հորդառատ անձրևներ։ «Արմենպրես»-ի մամուլի սրահում հրավիրված ասուլիսում ՀՀ շրջակա միջավայրի նախարարության «Հիդրոօդերևութաբանության և մոնիթորինգի կենտրոնի տնօրենի տեղակալ Գագիկ Սուրենյանը նշեց, որ խիստ ինտենսիվ անձրևներ են գրանցվել Գավառի հատվածում։

«Այս օրերին հյուսիս արևմուտքից առկա է նաև սառը օդի ներթափանցում մեր երկիր։ Օգոստոսի 3-ի համեմատ օգոստոսի 4-ին օդի ջերմաստիճանը նվազել է 6-10 աստիճանով։ Եթե երեկ Արարատյան դաշտում օդի ջերմաստիճանը հասել է մինչև 38 աստիճանի, ապա այսօր Երևանում, Արարատյան դաշտում օդի ջերմաստիճանը չի գերազանցի 32 աստիճանը։ Զով եղանակային պայմանները կպահպանվեն մինչև օգոստոսի 6-ը»,-ասաց Գագիկ Սուրենյանը։

Օգոստոսի 6-8-ն ընկած ժամանակահատվածում օդի ջերմաստիճանը կբարձրանա։ Հանրապետության ամենատաք հատվածներում, ըստ կանխատեսումների, օդի ջերմաստիճանը 38-ից բարձր չի կանխատեսվում։ Գագիկ Սուրենյանը տեղեկացրեց, որ օգոստոսին սաստիկ շոգեր չեն կանխատեսվում։ Օդի ջերմաստիճանը կանխատեսվում է կլիմայական նորմայից 1 աստիճան բարձր։ Նա ընդգծեց, որ օգոստոսին հանրապետության առանձին շրջաններում կդիտվեն ամպրոպային բնույթի կարճատև անձրևներ։

Անդրադառնալով այս տարվա ամռան ամիսներին գրանցված եղանակին՝ Գագիկ Սուրենյանը նշեց, որ նախորդ տարվա համեմատ բավական զով ու տեղումնառատ է եղել։ Վերջին օրերին հանրապետությունում օդի ջերմաստիճանի բարձրացում  է նկատվել՝ օգոստոսի 2-ին միայն մեկ կետում է 40 աստիճան տաքություն եղել՝ Արարատ-Ուրցաձոր հատվածում, իսկ Վայոց ձորի ցածրադիր հատվածներում գրանցվել է +39։ Այս օրերին հանրապետության տարբեր հատվածներում գրանցվել են տեղումներ, իսկ Լոռիում, Տավուշում եղել են տեղատարափ անձրևներ, խոշոր տրամաչափի կարկուտ։
