ԵՄ Բարձր ներկայացուցիչ Ժոզեպ Բորելի հայտարարությունը ԼՂ -ում հումանիտար իրավիճակի վերաբերյալ 

Եվրամիությունը խորապես մտահոգված է նախկին Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Ինքնավար Մարզում տեղի բնակչության վրա ազդող լուրջ հումանիտար իրավիճակով։

Լաչինի միջանցքով տեղաշարժը խոչընդոտվում է ավելի քան յոթ ամիս՝ չնայած այն վերաբացելու վերաբերյալ Արդարադատության միջազգային դատարանի որոշմանը։

Բժշկական պարագաներն ու առաջին անհրաժեշտության ապրանքները պակասում են կամ արդեն սպառվել են, ինչը սարսափելի հետևանքներ կունենա տեղի բնակչության համար:

Ադրբեջանի իշխանությունների պարտականությունն է երաշխավորել անվտանգությունն ու ազատ տեղաշարժը Լաչինի միջանցքի երկայնքով և թույլ չտալ ճգնաժամի հետագա սրացում:

Մենք ի գիտություն ենք ընդունել Ադրբեջանի իշխանությունների հայտնած պատրաստակամությունը՝ ապրանքներ մատակարարել նաև Աղդամ քաղաքով։

Սա չպետք է դիտարկվի որպես Լաչինի միջանցքի վերաբացման այլընտրանք։

ԵՄ-ն նաև նշում է, որ ԿԽՄԿ-ի գործունեությունը տարածաշրջանում մեծ ազդեցություն է ունեցել և կոչ է անում վերսկսել դրանք՝ ներառյալ բժշկական նպատակներով տարհանումը և մարդասիրական մատակարարումները:

ԵՄ-ն ընդգծում է, որ մարդասիրական հասանելիությունը չպետք է քաղաքականացվի որևէ դերակատարի կողմից:

Եվրամիությունը,  մասնավորապես Եվրոպական խորհրդի նախագահ Շառլ Միշելը, մեծապես ներգրավված են եղել Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև հարաբերությունների կարգավորման գործընթացին աջակցելու, ինչպես նաև Բաքվի և Ստեփանակերտի միջև երկխոսության խթանման գործում:

Սա նաև պահանջում է բոլոր կողմերի անկեղծ հավատարմությունը բանակցությունների արդյունքներին և ընդհանուր շահերի և փոխադարձ վստահության վրա հիմնված ապագայի կերտմանը։
