Հիվանդությունների վերահսկման և կանխարգելման ազգային կենտրոնից հայտնում են, թե ինչպես է պետք պաշտպանվել շոգ եղանակից։

Շոգ եղանակին բարձրանում է վարակիչ հիվանդությունների և սննդային թունավորումների առաջացման և տարածման վտանգը։

Աղիքային վարակիչ հիվանդություններից և սննդային թունավորումներից խուսափելու նպատակով խորհուրդ է տրվում․

-հետևել ձեռքերի հիգիենային, հաճախակի լվացվել` հատկապես սնունդ պատրաստելուց, ուտելուց առաջ և հետո, զուգարանից օգտվելուց հետո,

-սննդամթերքը (մրգերը, բանջարեղենը, հատապտուղները) օգտագործելուց առաջ լավ լվանալ հոսող մաքուր ջրով,

-պահպանել սննդամթերքը պատշաճ ջերմային պայմաններում` սառնարանում,

-ընտրել թարմ, ոչ ժամկետանց սննդամթերք,

-չգնել արտաքին միջավայրի գործոնների՝ արևի ճառագայթների և մթնոլորտային տեղումների, ինչպես նաև փոշու, ավտոտրանսպորտի արտանետումների անմիջական ազդեցության ներքո գտնվող մայրուղիներում, փողոցներում, բնակելի շենքերի բակերում բացօթյա պայմաններում պատրաստվող և վաճառվող, պատրաստման և պահպանման հատուկ պայմաններ պահանջող սննդամթերք` միս-մսամթերք, կաթ-կաթնամթերք, կրեմային հրուշակեղեն, ձու, ձկնեղեն, թարմ ձկնկիթ, պահածոյացված սննդատեսակներ, կարկանդակներ, փքաբլիթներ, խորոված, քաբաբ և այլն,

-սննդամթերքը պահել փակ տարաներում՝ ճանճերից աղտոտումը կանխարգելելու համար, ինչպես նաև՝ պատշաճ ջերմային պայմաններում,

-առանձնացնել հում սննդամթերքը եփածից, ինչպես նաև սննդի պատրաստման ժամանակ հում և պատրաստի մթերքի համար օգտագործել առանձին խոհարարական պարագաներ՝ դանակներ, ափսեներ, տախտակներ: Շատ կարևոր է հետևել, որպեսզի մսամթերքից և այլ հում մթերքից հոսող հեղուկը չաղտոտի պատրաստի սննդատեսակները (աղցաններ, միրգ, բանջարեղեն և այլն),

-սնունդը լավ եփել կամ տապակել` առնվազն 70°C պայմաններում,

-պատահական վայերից սունկ չգնել: Գնված սունկը լվանալիս պետք է ուշադիր լինել և չօգտագործել արտաքին տեսքը լրիվ կամ մասնակի փոխած սունկ։
