Երևանի ավագանու ընտրությունները կանցկացվեն սեպտեմբերի 17-ին։ Այս մասին Կառավարությունը որոշում կընդունի այսօր՝ հուլիսի 13-ի նիստին։

Որոշման նախագծի հիմնավորման մեջ նշվում է, որ Երևանի ավագանու վերջին ընտրությունները տեղի են ունեցել 2018 թվականի սեպտեմբերի 23-ին: Ավագանին իր լիազորությունները ստանձնել է 2018 թվականի հոկտեմբերի 10-ին: Վերջինիս լիազորությունները ժամկետը լրանում է 2023 թվականի հոկտեմբերի 10-ին:

«Հայաստանի Հանրապետության ընտրական օրենսգիրք» սահմանադրական օրենքի 127-րդ հոդվածի 1-ին մասի համաձայն՝ «Երևանի ավագանու հերթական ընտրությունն անցկացվում է ավագանու լիազորությունների ավարտից ոչ շուտ, քան 30, և ոչ ուշ, քան 20 օր առաջ»: Վերոնշյալ կարգավորման համաձայն՝ ընտրությունները պետք է նշանակվեն սեպտեմբերի 17-ին (որպես նշված միջակայում գտնվող միակ կիրակի օրը):

«Երևանի ավագանու հերթական ընտրություն նշանակելու մասին» Կառավարության որոշման ընդունման կապակցությամբ լրացուցիչ ֆինանսական միջոցների պահանջ չի առաջանում, իսկ Հայաստանի Հանրապետության պետական բյուջեի եկամուտներում և ծախսերում փոփոխություններ չեն սպասվում:

«Հայաստանի Հանրապետության ընտրական օրենսգիրք» սահմանադրական օրենքով նախատեսված ժամկետներն ապահովելու համար անհրաժեշտ է, որ սույն նախագիծն ընդունվի Կառավարության 2023 թվականի հուլիսի 13-ի նիստի ընթացքում։
