Շոյգուն սպառնացել է Ուկրաինային

Ռուսաստանը սպառնացել է «կասետային զինամթերքով հարվածել Ուկրաինային»՝ ի պատասխան Կիևին նման արկերի մատակարարման։ Այսպիսի հայտարարություն է արել ՌԴ պաշտպանության նախարար Սերգեյ Շոյգուն։
Շոյգուն ասել է, որ ավելի վաղ Ռուսաստանի զինված ուժերը «ձեռնպահ էին մնում կասետային զինամթերք օգտագործելուց, սակայն բանակը կսկսի դրանք օգտագործել, եթե ԱՄՆ-ն նման արկեր մատակարարի Ուկրաինային»։
«Ո՛չ մենք, ո՛չ ամերիկացիները, ո՛չ Կիևը չենք միացել կասետային զինամթերքի մասին կոնվենցիային։ Միաժամանակ Ռուսաստանը, գիտակցելով այն վտանգը, որ նման զինամթերքը ներկայացնում է խաղաղ բնակչության համար, ձեռնպահ մնաց դրանք հատուկ գործողության մեջ օգտագործելուց»,- ասել է ՌԴ ռազմական գերատեսչության ղեկավարը։
Ըստ Շոյգուի՝ Ռուսաստանը զինված է կասետային զինամթերքով «բոլոր առիթների համար, որոնք շատ ավելի արդյունավետ են, քան ամերիկյանները, դրանց հեռահարությունն ավելի լայն է և բազմազան»։
Ուկրաինայի զինված ուժերը բազմիցս մեղադրել են ռուսական զորքերին կասետային զինամթերքով հարվածներ հասցնելու մեջ։ Ըստ Կիևի՝ նման արկեր են խոցվել, այդ թվում՝ քաղաքների վրա։ Ռուսական բանակի կողմից կասետային զինամթերքի կիրառումը հաստատել են նաեւ անկախ միջազգային կազմակերպություններն ու լրագրողները։
Օրինակ՝ 2022 թվականի հունիսին Amnesty International իրավապաշտպան կազմակերպությունը հրապարակեց հետաքննություն, որում ասվում էր, որ ռուսական բանակը կասետային ռումբեր է կիրառել Խարկովի հրետակոծության ժամանակ, ինչի հետևանքով հարյուրավոր խաղաղ բնակիչներ են զոհվել։
