Երեկ հայտնի դարձավ, որ Ադրբեջանի հասարակական կազմակեպությունները բաց նամակով դիմել են Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին՝ պահանջելով դադրեցնել Հայաստանի կողմից իրականացվող հանքարդյունբերական գործունեությունը, որը «խաթարում է Հարավային Կովկասում բնապահպանական կայունությունը»:

Ադրբեջանցիները մասնավորաբար կոչ են արել Հայաստանի Հանրապետությանն անհապաղ դադարեցնել մի շարք ձեռնարկությունների, այդ թվում՝ Քաջարանում Զանգեզուրի պղնձամոլիբդենային կոմբինատի, Կապանի լեռնահարստացուցիչ կոմբինատի, Ագարակի պղնձամոլիբդենային կոմբինատի, Սոթքի ոսկու հանքի, Ախթալայի հանքավայրի, Գեղարքունիքի պղնձաձուլարանի գործունեությունը, ինչպես նաև Երասխում նոր մետալուրգիական գործարանի կառուցումը: Այն, որ ադրբեջանցիներն իրենց բնապահպանական կեղծ թեզերն արդեն փորձում են տարածել մեր երկրի վրա, կարծում ենք ՝չի զարմացնում:

Հասկանալի է, որ Ադրբեջանում բոլոր նման կառույցները ուղղակիորեն կապված են այդ երկրի իշխանությունների հետ և ինքնուրույն, առանց քաղաքական ենթատեքստի, որևէ քայլ անգամ չեն անում: Սակայն այս տեղ առկա է հարցի մյուս կողմը: Բանն այն է, որ տևական ժամանակ մասնագետները զգուշացնում են, որ նմանատիպ հարցերում մեր կողմից ցանկացած անհաշվենկատ քայլ կամ հայտարարություն, որքան էլ նպատակներն ազնիվ լինեն, առավել ևս՝ հրապարակայնացում, կարող է քարոզչական լրացուցիչ գործիք դառնալ թշնամու համար:

Սա, ցավոք, այս դեպքերից է, և Ադրբեջանը, ինքնին լինելով նաև էկոլոգիական հանցագործ երկիր, համարձակվում է բնապահպանական կոչ հնչեցնել Հայաստանի ուղղությամբ՝ մասնավորաբար նաև առիթավորվելով այդ թեմայով մեր ներքին դաշտում տիրաժավորվող որոշակի մոտեցումներից:
