Իրանը, չնայած վարչական ընթացակարգերի ավարտին, որոշել է իր նոր դեսպանին Ստոկհոլմ չուղարկել՝ Կուրբան բայրամի օրն այդ քաղաքում մզկիթի մոտ Ղուրանի այրման սկանդալային ակցիայից հետո։ Այս մասին կիրակի հայտարարել է Իսլամական Հանրապետության արտաքին գործերի նախարար Հոսեյն Ամիր Աբդոլլահիանը։
«Երեկ մենք մանրամասն զրույց ունեցանք Շվեդիայում մեր երկրի նոր դեսպան պարոն Հոջաթուլլա Ֆագանիի հետ, որը զեկույց ներկայացրեց դիվանագիտական առաքելության ներկա վիճակի մասին: Չնայած բոլոր վարչական ընթացակարգերի ավարտին, Իրանի դեսպանին Շվեդիա ուղարկելու գործընթացը ներկայումս կասեցված է», - Twitter-ում գրել է Իրանի արտգործնախարարը։
Աբդոլլահիանն ընդգծել է, որ այս որոշումը կայացրել է Ստոկհոլմում Ղուրանի այրման ակցիայից հետո. ակցիան իրականացվել է իրավապահ ուժերի թույլտվությամբ։
Մուսուլմանների համար սուրբ գրքի օրինակի այրման միջադեպը տեղի է ունեցել չորեքշաբթի Ստոկհոլմի կենտրոնում գտնվող Մեդբորջարպլացեն հրապարակում։ Իրաքից 37-ամյա ներգաղթյալ Սալվան Մոմիկան պոկել է Ղուրանի էջերը և այրել դրանք:
