ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարի փոխխոսնակ Վեդանտ Պատելն անդրադարձել է առաջիկայում Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի ԱԳ նախարարների՝ Վաշինգտոնում կայանալիք հանդիպմանը։
«Ակնկալում ենք հյուրընկալել ԱԳ նախարարների բանակցությունների նոր ռաունդը Վաշինգտոնում այս ամիս։ Ինչպես նախկինում հայտարարել ենք, ուղիղ երկխոսությունն է հարցերի լուծման և կայուն ու արժանապատիվ խաղաղության հասնելու բանալին։ ԱՄՆ-ն ուրախ է, որ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև երկխոսությունը տարբեր հարթակներում տեղի է ունենում, այդ թվում նաև առաջնորդների մակարդակով»,– ասել է Պատելը։
Պետդեպարտամենտի խոսնակի տեղակալից լրագրողները նաև հետաքրքրվել են, թե արդյո՞ք այլ հանդիպում նախատեսված է Վաշինգտոնում, բացի պետքարտուղար Բլինկենի և Ադրբեջանի ու Հայաստանի արտգործնախարարների միջև հանդիպումից հաջորդ շաբաթ։
«Ես կոնկրետ տեղեկատվություն չունեմ ժամկետների կամ պետքարտուղարի ժամանակացույցի մասին։ Բայց այո, մենք անհամբեր սպասում ենք այս ամիս Վաշինգտոնում կայանալիք բանակցությունների հերթական փուլին, քանի որ կողմերը շարունակում են ձգտել Հարավային Կովկասի տարածաշրջանի խաղաղ ապագային»,- ասել է Պատելը:
Հիշեցնենք, ԱԳ նախարարների հանդիպումն ԱՄՆ–ում նախատեսված է անցկացնել հունիսի 12–ին։
