Կանադացիներն ստեղծել են ռոբոտ, որը կարող է գտնել կորած իրերը

Կանադայի Վաթերլոյի համալսարանի ինժեներների թիմը (University of Waterloo) ստեղծել է ուղեկից ռոբոտ, որն իր տիրոջը կօգնի գտնել կորած իրը, այս մասին տեղեկացնում է Siasat.com-ը:
Ռոբոտը նախատեսված է ավելի շատ դեմենցիայով տարեց մարդկանց օգնելու համար: Դեմենցիան կամ ծերունական թուլամտությունն առաջացնում է այնպիսի ախտանիշներ, ինչպիսիք են հիշողության կորուստը, գիտակցության շփոթությունը, ինչի պատճառով մարդը կարող է մոռանալ, թե որտեղ է թողել կարևոր իրը, օրինակ՝ ակնոցը, հեռախոսը կամ դեղամիջոցը: Այս դեպքում ռոբոտի նման ուղեկիցը կարող է օգնել, թեև պետք է նշել, որ հաճախ հեռախոս կամ բանալիներ գտնելու հարցում օգնության կարիք ունեն ոչ միայն դեմենցիա ունեցող մարդիկ։
Fetch անունով ռոբոտը հագեցած է ներկառուցված տեսախցիկով և մանիպուլյատորով։ Այն ծրագրավորված է որոշ տարրերի գտնվելու վայրը հայտնաբերելու, հետևելու և գրանցելու համար: Fetch-ն ի վիճակի է տարբերել մի առարկան մյուսից, այն կարող է գրանցել ժամը և ամսաթիվը, երբ հայտնվել է իր տեսադաշտում կամ դուրս եկել այդտեղից։
Մշակվել է նաև գրաֆիկական ինտերֆեյս, որն օգտատերերին թույլ է տալիս ընտրել այն օբյեկտները, որոնք ցանկանում է վերահսկել: Սեփականատիրոջ խնդրանքով ռոբոտը սմարթֆոնի կամ համակարգչի համար նախատեսված հավելվածի միջոցով կկարողանա նշել, թե երբ և որտեղ է վերջին անգամ տեսել կորցրած իրը։
Փորձերը ցույց են տվել, որ կանադացի գիտնականների մշակած համակարգն ունի բարձր ճշգրտություն։ Թեև դեմենցիա ունեցող մարդկանց համար կարող է դժվար լինել սարքն ինքնուրույն օգտագործելը, այն կարող են օգտագործվել նրանց խնամողները: Դա կհեշտացնի խնամքի գործընթացը և կբարելավի կյանքի որակը, կարծում են ռոբոտը ստեղծողները։ Մշակողները նախատեսում են Fetch-ը փորձարկել նախ առողջ մարդկանց, այնուհետև դեմենցիայով հիվանդների հետ:
