Պակիստանի ամենահետախուզվող ահաբեկչական առաջնորդ Մուհամմադ Ասան, որը մեղադրվում էր իրանական ավտոշարասյունների վրա հարձակվելու համար, գնդակահարվել է հակառակորդ ահաբեկչական խմբավորումների միջև բախումների ժամանակ, որոնք բռնկվել էին թալանված փողերի բաշխման պատճառով: Այս մասին գրել է Mehr-ը։

Հայտնի նաև որպես մոլլա Իբրահիմ, եղել է Պակիստանում արգելված «Բելուջների ազատագրման ճակատ» (BLF) խմբավորումից։

Ասան ներգրավված է եղել բազմաթիվ ահաբեկչական հարձակումների մեջ, ներառյալ հարձակումները իրանական բեռնատարների վրա՝ Թաֆթանի սահմանային զրոյական կետ (Միրջավե) տանող ճանապարհի, անվտանգության ուժերի դեմ:

Նա նաև մասնակցում էր Բելուջիստան նահանգում ենթակառուցվածքային նախագծերի ոչնչացման դիվերսիոն գործողություններին ու սպանում նախագծերի համար աշխատող բանվորներին:

Ի հավելումն բռնության գործողություններին իր մասնակցության, սպանված առաջորդն ուներ ինքնաշեն պայթուցիկ սարքերի կառուցման փորձ:

Հետախուզվող ահաբեկչի մահը համարվում է զգալի հարված BLF-ին։

Այն պահից ի վեր, երբ 2004 թվականին խմբավորման պարտվել էր Պակիստանում և Իրանում, վերակառուցված BLF-ը պատասխանատու է Բելուջիստանում քաղաքացիական անձանց, լրագրողների, պետական պաշտոնյաների և զինվորականների վրա հարձակումների համար:

Ապրիլի 7-ին Պակիստանի բանակը հայտարարել էր, որ ձերբակալել է Գյուլզար Իմամին՝ «Բելուջների ազգային բանակ» զինված խմբավորման առաջնորդ և հիմնադիր, որը պատասխանատու է Պակիստանում «տասնյակ արյունալի հարձակումների», այդ թվում՝ իրավապահ մարմինների վրա հարձակումների համար։
