Ս․թ․ մայիսի 4-ին ՀՀ-ում ԱՄՆ դեսպան Քրիստինա Քվինը Մամուլի ազատության համաշխարհային օրվա կապակցությամբ ընդունելություն էր կազմակերպել Հայաստանի մեդիաոլորտի ներկայացուցիչների և շահագրգիռ կողմերի համար։ Այս մասին հայտնում են ՀՀ-ում ԱՄՆ դեսպանատնից։

Իր ելույթում դեսպան Քվինն ընդգծեց ազատ մամուլի կարևորագույն դերակատարումը ժողովրդավարական հասարակությունում քաղաքացիներին իրազեկելու և կառավարության ու իշխանություն ունեցողների հաշվետվողականության ապահովման հարցերում։

«Մամուլը կարևորագույն դեր է խաղում տեղեկությունների ու մտքերի բաց փոխանակմանը նպաստելու, մարդկանց մշտապես իրազեկ պահելու, իշխանություն ունեցողների հաշվետու լինելը ապահովելու հարցերում, որոնք ցանկացած ժողովրդավարական հասարակության համար կենսական նշանակություն ունեն», — ասաց դեսպան Քվինը։

Դեսպանն անդրադարձ կատարեց Հայաստանի մեդիաոլորտին Միացյալ Նահանգների կողմից ցուցաբերվող աջակցությանը, մասնավորապես ԱՄՆ ՄԶԳ-ի և Հանրային դիվանագիտության գրասենյակի ծրագրերի միջոցով։

Այս տարի մարտին ԱՄՆ ՄԶԳ-ը «Մեդիա ծրագիր Հայաստանում» ծրագրի իրականացման համար 15 միլիոն ԱՄՆ դոլարի համաձայնագիր է ստորագրել ամերիկյան «Ինտերնյուս նեթվորք» կազմակերպության հետ, որն աշխատելու է մեդիաոլորտի զարգացման հարցերով զբաղվող տեղական ՀԿ-ների, մասնավորապես՝ «Մեդիա նախաձեռնությունների կենտրոնի» և «Երևանի մամուլի ակումբի», ինչպես նաև «Զինք նեթվորք» միջազգային խմբի հետ։ Ծրագիրը միտված է Հայաստանի տեղեկատվական տիրույթի ամրապնդմանը՝ լրագրողական ստանդարտների և բովանդակության որակի բարելավման, մրցունակության և հասարակության համար հետաքրքրություն ներկայացող ԶԼՄ-ների ֆինանսական կենսունակության խթանման և անկախ տեղեկատվական հոսքերի համար նպաստավոր միջավայրի ապահովման միջոցով։

ԱՄՆ դեսպանության Հանրային դիվանագիտության գրասենյակը հայտարարել է 2,3 միլիոն ԱՄՆ դոլար ներդրման մասին, որն ուղղվելու է լրագրողական փորձի փոխանակման ծրագրերի իրականացմանը և լրագրողական կրթության մագիստրոսական ծրագրի ձևավորմանը Հայաստանում։ Առաջին բաղադրիչը հայ-ամերիկյան մասնագիտական փոխգործակցության նախագիծն է՝ նախատեսված պրոֆեսիոնալ լրագրողների համար։ Երկրորդը՝ հայ-ամերիկյան համալսարանական փոխգործակցության ծրագիր է, որի միջոցով լրագրության գերազանցության կենտրոն կձևավորվի հայաստանյան բուհերից մեկում։ Այս նախաձեռնությունների մասին հավելյալ մանրամասներ կներկայացվեն այս տարի ավելի ուշ։
