«Հայաստանի Հանրապետության սիրելի քաղաքացիներ, այսօր նշում ենք Աշխատանքի օրը:
Այս տոնի առիթով ուզում եմ վերահաստատել վերջերս Ազգային ժողովում արտահայտած այն միտքը, թե աշխատանքը և կրթությունն են մեր ունեցած բոլոր խնդիրների լուծման բանալին: Վերստին՝ չեմ կարող աշխատանքը տարանջատել կրթությունից, որովհետև առանց աշխատանքի հնարավոր չէ կրթություն ստանալ, իսկ գիտելիքի վրա չհիմնված աշխատանքն ընդամենը չարչարանք է, հաճախ առանց ցանկալի արդյունքի:
Գիտելիքի վրա հիմնված աշխատանքն առաջընթաց է, կրթություն է, արդյունավետություն ու ստեղծագործական հաճույք: Հենց այս սկզբունքի վրա են հիմնված այն տնտեսական հաջողությունները, որ այսօր ունենք: Հենց այս սկզբունքի վրա հիմնվող հարյուրհազարավոր աշխատողներն ու տնտեսվարողներն են ապահովում Հայաստանի Հանրապետության պետական բյուջեի տպավորիչ եկամուտները, հենց նրանք են մեծացնում հարգանքն աշխատանքի և կրթության նկատմամբ, ապացուցելով, որ գիտելիքի վրա հիմնված աշխատանքի շնորհիվ կարելի է հասնել անհավատալի հաջողությունների:
Աշխատանք՝ հիմնված գիտելիքի վրա և գիտելիք՝ ամրացած աշխատանքով ու փորձով. ահա այն սկզբունքը, որ արդիական ու մրցունակ պետք է դարձնի մեր տնտեսությունը, մեր բանակը, մեր դիվանագիտությունը, մեր կրթական համակարգը և ընդհանրապես՝ մեր պետությունը: Ընդ որում, բազմաթիվ ոլորտներում կարևորելով ստանդարտների հաստատումը, գիտելիքի ստանդարտացումն ամենևին էլ օգտակար չենք համարում, որովհետև պատշարին հարկավոր է ի՛ր գործի համար անհրաժեշտ գիտելիքը, փականագործին ի՛ր, դիվանագետին ի՛ր, զինվորականին ի՛ր: Բայց միանշանակ է և աներկբա, որ միայն գիտելիքի վրա հիմնված աշխատանքը կարող է զարգացման բերել և առաջընթացի:
Եվ ուրեմն, շնորհավորում եմ բոլորիս Աշխատանքի օրվա առիթով և շնորհակալություն եմ հայտնում բոլոր այն մարդկանց, ովքեր իրենց աշխատանքով բարձրացնում են Հայաստանը: Հատուկ շնորհավորում ու ողջունում եմ այն օտարերկրացիներին, ովքեր աշխատանքի և տնտեսական գործունեության վայր են ընտրել մեր երկիրը: Բարով եք եկել»:
