Հայաստանի հավաքականի նախկին առաջատար Լևոն Արոնյանը պատրաստ է հավակնորդների հաջորդ մրցաշարում պայքարել աշխարհի չեմպիոնի կոչման համար: Այս մայն հարցին, թե արդյոք Հայաստանում նեղացել են իրենիցասին շախմատիստն ասել է ՌԻԱ Նովոստիին տված հարցազրույցում։
 
«Ես միշտ պատրաստ եմ։ Ինձ համար երջանկություն է շախմատ խաղալ և լինել այնտեղ, որտեղ գտնվում եմ իմ կյանքում: Ինչպես ասում են` բնությունը վատ եղանակ չունի»,-ասել է գրոսմայստերը։
Միևնույն ժամանակ, Արոնյանը կասկածում է, որ աշխարհի գործող չեմպիոն, նորվեգացի Մագնուս Կարլսենը կվերադառնա մեծ շախմատ և կմասնակցի հավակնորդների մրցաշարին, թեև չի բացառում դա։
 
«Ես դրան չեմ հավատում։ Բայց գուցե վերադառնա: Ամեն ինչ պատահում է, լինում է, որ մարդը ձանձրանում է: Այսպես՝ ինչ-որ բան տալ, հետո վերադառնալ դրա հետևից»,-նշել է նա։
Արոնյանը նշել է, որ ներկայումս երեք երկրների միջև է ապրում` Հայաստանում, ԱՄՆ-ում և Իսպանիայում:
 
«Գնում-գալիս եմ Հայաստանի, Իսպանիայի և Ամերիկայի միջև։ Եվ երբեմն այցելում եմ Բեռլին՝ ծնողներիս»,-խոստովանել է շախմատիստը։ Իսպանիայում, նշել է գրոսմայստերը, հիմնականում լինում է Սան Սեբաստիանում, որտեղի ֆուտբոլային ակումբը՝ «Ռեալ Սոսյեդադը», օգնում է նրան` ֆիզպատրաստության մասնագետներ տրամադրելով։
Պատասխանելով այն հարցին, թե արդյոք Հայաստանում նեղացել են իրենից, Արոնյանն ասել է. «Գիտեք, հասկացող մարդիկ ամեն ինչ հասկանում են։ Իսկ ով չի հասկանում, այդպես էլ չի հասկանալու, ինչ էլ անես»։
