Ադամ Շիֆն Արցախի անկախությունն ու ինքնիշխանությունը ճանաչող օրինագիծ կներկայացնի Կոնգրես

ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի Հայկական հարցերով խմբի փոխնախագահ Ադամ Շիֆը Կոնգրես կներկայացնի օրինագիծ, որով կոչ է արվում ճանաչել Արցախի անկախությունը և ինքնիշխանությունը, ինչպես նաև դատապարտել Ադրբեջանի ագրեսիան: Այս մասին կոնգրեսականը հայտնել է «Ասպարեզ»-ին տված հարցազրույցում:
«Վաղն առավոտյան ես կներկայացնեմ օրինագիծ՝ ճանաչելու Արցախը, Արցախի անկախությունը և ինքնիշխանությունը: Սրանով ԱՄՆ-ն պաշտոնապես կճանաչի Արցախի ժողովրդի ինքնորոշման իրավունքը», - ասել է Ադամ Շիֆը:
Կոնգրեսականը նաև մտահոգություն է հայտնել Ադրբեջանի կողմից նախապատրաստվող հնարավոր ագրեսիայի առնչությամբ:
«Ես չափազանց մտահոգված եմ, որ Ադրբեջանը հերթական պատերազմն է ծրագրում Արցախի դեմ, հերթական պատերազմը հենց Հայաստանի դեմ, և կարծում եմ, որ սա հզոր ուղերձ կլինի Բաքվի դիկտատորին, որ երկկուսակցական հիմունքներով Կոնգրեսը սատար կկանգնի Արցախի ժողովրդի իրավունքներին», - նշել է Շիֆը՝ շեշտելով, որ Ադրբեջանի կողմից Արցախի շրջափակմանը պետք է վերջ դրվի:
Կոնգրեսի Հայկական հարցերով խմբի փոխնախագահը նաև արձանագրել է, որ շրջափակման հետևանքով ստեղծված մարդասիրական ճգնաժամն ավելի է վատթարանում: Իրավիճակի վրա ազդելու համար Շիֆը կարևոր է համարել բոլոր կոնգրեսականների ներգրավումը՝ ԱՄՆ վարչակազմի վրա ճնշում գործադրելու համար:
«Վարչակազմը պետք է անի ավելին, քան խոսել բարոյապես համարժեք տերմիններով: Այստեղ բարոյական համարժեքություն չկա: Բռնություններից և սադրանքից զերծ մնալու կոչերը երկու կողմերին ուղղելն օգուտ չի բերում, երբ միայն մեկ կողմն է ագրեսորը, և դա Բաքուն է», - շեշտել է Շիֆը:
