Ծանրամարտի Եվրոպայի առաջնության բացման ժամանակ տեղի ունեցած միջադեպը պատրվակ էր ադրբեջանական թիմի՝ հայրենիք վերադառնալու համար: «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում  ասաց ՀՀ ԿԳՄՍ նախարարի տեղակալ Կարեն Գիլոյանը:   

«Հավաքականի վերադարձի մասին որոշումը կայացվել է Ադրբեջանում: Անձամբ զրուցել եմ պատվիրակության ներկայացուցիչների հետ, նրանք ինչ-որ բանից դժգոհ չէին: Պատվիրակության ղեկավարը, մարզիչները միաբերան ասում էին, որ շոյված են, լավ են զգում, իրենք խնդիր չունեն վտանգի հետ կապված: Պարզապես հրահանգ են ստացել և չեն կարող չկատարել հրահանգը, պիտի վերադառնան: Սա պարզապես պատրվակ է: Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը ապահվել և ապահովելու է բոլորի անվտանգությունը»,-շեշտեց փոխնախարարը:

Կարեն Գիլոյանի խոսքով` միջադեպն օգտագործվեց, որպեսզի ստվեր գցվի առաջնության ընթացքի վրա:

«Այո, միջադեպը սպորտային չէ և տխուր փաստ է: Բայց իրենք հասկանում են, որ արարքը պարզապես անձի կողմից է արված, պետական վերաբերմունք չէ: Հիմա փորձում ենք մեղմել վիճակը: Եթե նախօրեին մեծ էր հաջորդ տարվա աշխարհի առաջնությունը Հայաստանում անցկացնելու հավանականությունը, ապա այսօր այն բավականին նվազել է»,- նկատեց նա:

Ավելի վաղ Ադրբեջանի երիտասարդության և սպորտի նախարարությունն ու այդ երկրի Ազգային օլիմպիական կոմիտեն Երևանի Կարեն Դեմիրճյանի անվան մարզահամերգային համալիրում ապրիլի 14-ի երեկոյան Ծանրամարտի Եվրոպայի առաջնության բացման արարողությանը տեղի ունեցած՝ Ադրբեջանի դրոշը վառելու միջադեպից հետո որոշում են կայացրել ադրբեջանցի մարզիկներին վերադարձնել հայրենիք՝ պատճառաբանելով, որ ադրբեջանցի մարզիկները հոգեբանական ճնշման են ենթարկվել:
