Բրյուսելը չի ցանկանում զայրացնել Բաքվին» վերնագրով հոդվածում գրում է, որ Բրյուսելը Բաքվին տեղեկություն է փոխանցում Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև սահմանին իր հսկողության մասին: Այդ մասին հայտնել է Politico հրատարակությունը՝ հղում անելով Եվրամիության դիվանագիտական ծառայության իր բարձրաստիճան աղբյուրին։ Նրա խոսքով, ԵՄ-ն հույս ուներ «Բաքվի հետ այլ սցենարի», երբ նրանք որոշում կայացրեցին իրենց դիտորդական առաքելությունը տեղակայել տարածաշրջանում։

«Մենք Ադրբեջանի հետ կիսվում ենք պարեկության մասին բոլոր համապատասխան տեղեկություններով, քանի որ չենք ցանկանում որևէ խնդիր ստեղծել նրանց հետ», - ասել է ամերիկյան հրատարակության աղբյուրը։ ԵՄ-ում ադրբեջանական պատվիրակության ղեկավար Վագիֆ Սադիգովն իր հերթին Politico-ին ասել է, որ իր երկրի հետ սահմանի մոտ ԵՄ առաքելության ներկայությունը Բաքվում անհանգստություն է առաջացնում։ «Դա տեղի է ունենում մեր իսկ սահմանային կետերից մի քանի հարյուր մետր հեռավորության վրա և խիստ ռազմականացված գոտում, որտեղ կան ռուս սահմանապահներ, հայ սահմանապահներ, ռուսական կանոնավոր ստորաբաժանումներ, հայկական կանոնավոր ստորաբաժանումներ, իսկ Իրանի սահմանին ավելի մոտ՝ իրանցի զինվորականներ»,– ասել է Սադիգովը:

Նրա կարծիքով, այդ առաքելությունը կարելի է դիտել «որպես Բրյուսելի փորձ՝ ուժեղացնելու իր ներկայությունը Հարավային Կովկասի տարածաշրջանում»։ ԵՄ քաղաքացիական առաքելությանը Բաքվում նախապաշարմունքով են վերաբերվում։ Միաժամանակ Ադրբեջանում մարդու իրավունքների խախտումները դատապարտող Եվրախորհրդարանի զեկույցը վրդովմունք է առաջացրել այդ երկրում։ Այս ամենը ստվեր է գցել Բաքվի հետ Բրյուսելի աղմկահարույց գործարքի վրա, որն է՝ մինչև 2027 թվականը կասպյան գազի տարեկան մատակարարումները եվրոպական շուկա կրկնապատկել մինչև 20 միլիարդ խորանարդ մետրի։

Ռուսաստանն իր հերթին հետևողականորեն քննադատում է հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանին ԵՄ երկարաժամկետ առաքելությունը։ Այսպես, ՌԴ ԱԳՆ պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Մարիա Զախարովան նշել է, որ Անդրկովկաս ներթափանցելու Արևմուտքի փորձերն իրականացվում են ոչ թե հակամարտությունը կարգավորելու, այլ «ճիշտ հակառակ նպատակներով»։
