Պենտագոնի արտահոսած փաստաթղթերը բացահայտում են Հարավային Կորեայի բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաների միջև զգայուն մի խոսակցություն, որի ընթացքում քննարկվել է Ուկրաինային զենքեր ուղարկելու հարցը: «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ BBC-ի տրամադրության տակ հայտնված փաստաթուղթը ցույց է տալիս, որ ԱՄՆ-ն լրտեսում էր իր երկարամյա դաշնակից Հարավային Կորեային:

Օրեր առաջ արտահոսած փաստաթղթերը տեղեկություններ էին պարունակում Ուկրաինայում ընթացող պատերազմի, Չինաստանի և ԱՄՆ-ի դաշնակիցների վերաբերյալ:

BBC-ի տրամադրության տակ հայտնված տվյալ փաստաթուղթը, ըստ լրատվամիջոցի, կարող է վնասել Հարավային Կորեայի հարաբերություններն ինչպես ԱՄՆ-ի, այնպես էլ Ռուսաստանի հետ:

Հարավային Կորեան հայտնել է, որ հետաքննում է արտահոսքը, սակայն պնդում է, որ անհնար է գաղտնալսել մասնավոր խոսակցությունները նախագահական գրասենյակում, և որ այս քննարկումը չէր կարող տեղի ունենալ մասնավոր ստորգետնյա բունկերում:

Վաշինգտոնն իր հերթին փորձում է գտնել արտահոսքի աղբյուրը, որն, ըստ Պենտագոնի, լուրջ վտանգ է ներկայացնում ազգային անվտանգության համար:

Ըստ BBC-ի՝ Վաշինգտոնը պնդում էր, որ Սեուլը զինի Կիևին, սակայն Սեուլն ընդդիմանում էր: Ըստ փաստաթղթի՝ Հարավային Կորեայում կարծիքները կիսվում էին Ուկրաինային զենք վաճառել կամ չվաճառելու առումով:

Անցյալ տարի Սեուլը Վաշինգտոնին էր վաճառել ականներ, սակայն պայմանով, որ դրանք ռազմական օգնության շրջանակներում չեն ուղարկվի Կիևին, քանի որ Հարավային Կորեան չի ցանկանում վատթարացնել Ռուսաստանի հետ հարաբերությունները: Խոսակցությունը տեղի է ունեցել 2023 թ.-ի մարտի 1-ին: Հարավային Կորեայի նախագահ Յուն Սոկ Յոլի ազգային անվտանգության հարցերով երկու խորհրդականները մտավախություն են հայտնել, թե ԱՄՆ-ն ականները կուղարկի Ուկրաինա, և կստացվի այնպես, իբրև Սեուլը տեղի է տվել Վաշինգտոնի ճնշմանը: Փոխարենն առաջարկվել է ականներ վաճառել Լեհաստանին, ինչը հնարավոր կդարձնի զինամթերքն Ուկրաինա հասցնել ավելի արագ, որն էլ ԱՄՆ-ի վերջնական նպատակն է:

Արտահոսքը մտահոգություններ է առաջացրել Սեուլում: Ընդդիմադիր կուսակցությունը հարց է բարձրացրել, թե ինչպես է ԱՄՆ-ն կարողացել գաղտնալսել նման բարձր մակարդակի խոսակցությունը՝ դա համարելով երկրի ինքնիշխանության խախտում:

Հարավային Կորեայի նախագահը երկու շաբաթից պետք է այցելի Սպիտակ տուն՝ նշելու երկու երկրների միջև դաշնակցային հարաբերությունների 70-ամյակը:
