«Մենք Չինաստանին հասկացրել ենք, որ Ռուսաստանի դաժանությունների և ռազմական հանցագործությունների նկատմամբ նրա դիրքորոշումը կորոշի Պեկինի հետ մեր հարաբերությունների որակը», - ասել է նա:
Աղբյուրը նկատում է, որ Բորելը ոչ բնորոշ կոպտությամբ է արտահայտվել Չինաստանի մասին: Այս մեկնաբանությունները հիմք են տվել, որպեսզի երկու ազդեցիկ եվրոպացի առաջնորդները Չինաստան կատարած այցի ժամանակ շեշտեն, որ ԵՄ-ի և Պեկինի հարաբերությունները կախված կլինեն Ռուսաստանի հետ Չինաստանի բարեկամությունից:
