ԱՄՆ Պետդեպարտամենտը, լրտեսության մեղադրանքով The Wall Street Journal պարբերականի ամերիկացի լրագրողի ձերբակալությունից հետո, Ռուսաստանում գտնվող ամերիկացիներին կրկին հորդորել է անհապաղ լքել երկիրը, գրում է golosameriki.com-ը:

«Ես կցանկանայի հստակ հայտարարել, որ ԱՄՆ քաղաքացիների համար անվտանգ չէ Ռուսաստանի Դաշնությունում գտնվելը», - ասել է Պետդեպարտամենտի փոխխոսնակ Վեդանտ Պատելը:

«ԱՄՆ-ի բոլոր քաղաքացիները, որոնք ապրում կամ ճանապարհորդում են Ռուսաստանում, պետք է անհապաղ հեռանան՝ համաձայն մեր վերջին ճամփորդական խորհրդատվության», - հավելել է փոխխոսնակը։

Նա ասել է, որ ամերիկացիները, որոնք օգնության կարիք ունեն Ռուսաստանից հեռանալու համար, պետք է դիմեն Մոսկվայում ԱՄՆ դեսպանատանը:

«Ուզում եմ հնարավորինս հստակ և միանշանակ ասել, որ մենք դատապարտում ենք լրագրողներին և քաղաքացիական հասարակությանը վախեցնելու, ճնշելու և պատժելու Կրեմլի շարունակական փորձերը», - ասել է Պետդեպարտամենտի ներկայացուցիչը։

Սպիտակ տունը հերքել է Ռուսաստանի կողմից կալանավորված The Wall Street Journal-ի լրագրող Էվան Գերշկովիչի դեմ լրտեսության մեղադրանքները՝ դրանք որակելով «ծիծաղելի» և ասել, որ հիմքեր չկան այդ մեղադրանքները հավաստի համարելու։

«Լրտեսության այս մեղադրանքները ծիծաղելի են։ Ռուսաստանի կառավարության կողմից ամերիկյան քաղաքացիների հետապնդումն անընդունելի է»,- ճեպազրույցում ասել է Սպիտակ տան մամուլի քարտուղար Կարին Ժան Պիերը։

Պետքարտուղար Էնթոնի Բլինկենը հինգշաբթի հայտարարություն էր տարածել Գերշկովիչի ձերբակալման վերաբերյալ՝ ասելով, որ Պետդեպարտամենտի առաջնահերթությունը արտերկրում գտնվող ԱՄՆ քաղաքացիների անվտանգությունն է։ Նա նաև ՌԴ-ում գտնվող ԱՄՆ քաղաքացիներին կոչ էր արել անհապաղ լքել երկիրը:

Նախօրեին iՌԴ անվտանգության դաշնային ծառայությունը հայտնել էր, որ Եկատերինբուրգում ձերբակալվել է ամերիկյան The Wall Street Journal պարբերականի թղթակից Էվան Գերշկովիչը։ Հետախուզության տվյալներով՝ լրագրողը «ԱՄՆ-ի հանձնարարությամբ պետական գաղտնիք հանդիսացող տեղեկություններ էր հավաքում ռուսական ռազմաարդյունաբերական համալիրի ձեռնարկություններից մեկի մասին»։ Էվան Գերշկովիչը 6 տարի է, ինչ ապրում է Մոսկվայում և հավատարմագրված է ՌԴ ԱԳՆ-ում։ Գերշկովիչը լրագրող է, որը լուսաբանում է իրադարձությունները Ռուսաստանում, Ուկրաինայում և նախկին Խորհրդային Միության երկրներում: Նա նախկինում աշխատել է Agence France-Presse-ում, The Moscow Times-ում և The New York Times-ում: Գերշկովիչի վերջին հոդվածը The Wall Street Journal-ը հրապարակել է մարտի 28-ին։
