ՌԴ անվտանգության դաշնային ծառայությունը հայտնել է, որ Եկատերինբուրգում ձերբակալվել է ամերիկյան Wall Street Journal պարբերականի թղթակից Էվան Գերշկովիչը։ Հետախուզության տվյալներով՝ լրագրողը «ԱՄՆ-ի հանձնարարությամբ պետական գաղտնիք հանդիսացող տեղեկություններ էր հավաքում ռուսական ռազմաարդյունաբերական համալիրի ձեռնարկություններից մեկի մասին»։
«Էվան Գերշկովիչին ձերբակալել են Եկատերինբուրգում, հարուցվել է լրտեսության գործ։ Միացյալ Նահանգների հանձնարարությամբ նա տեղեկություններ էր հավաքում ռուսական ռազմարդյունաբերական համալիրի ձեռնարկություններից մեկի մասին, որը պետական գաղտնիք է կազմում»,- պարզաբանել է Անվտանգության դաշնային ծառայությունը:
Գերատեսչությունը պարզաբանում է, որ լրագրողը Եկատերինբուրգում զբաղվել է «անօրինական գործունեությամբ», որը հաջողությամբ «կասեցվել է»։
«Կոմերսանտ»-ի տեղեկություններով՝ լրագրողին նախատեսվում է տեղափոխել Մոսկվա և կալանավորել Լեֆորտովոյի դատարանում։
PR մասնագետ Յարոսլավ Շիրշիկովը, որը նախօրեին հանդիպել է Էվան Գերշկովիչի հետ, պնդում է, որ Եկատերինբուրգում ձերբակալված լրագրողը «ուսումնասիրել է հասարակության վերաբերմունքը PMC «Վագներ» մասնավոր ռազմական ընկերության նկատմամբ»։
